Historia
A lonely soldier, a few interfering friends, and the mail-order bride contract they coax him into signing — just in time for Christmas! Elizabeth Byrd's friends beg her to join them in Cowboy Creek as a mail-order bride. At first, the former battlefield nurse is scandalized by the idea of marrying a man she’s never met, but the war has taken everything from her — her brothers, too many friends to count, and her fiancé. Difficult to get past virtual voice.

Virtual voice ruins a good story - mispronounced words, odd pauses in sentences and terrible inflections.

Historia
Sophie Dupont, daughter of a portrait painter, assists her father in his studio, keeping her own artwork out of sight. She often walks the cliffside path along the North Devon coast, popular with artists and poets. It's where she met the handsome Wesley Overtree, the first man to tell her she's beautiful. Captain Stephen Overtree is accustomed to taking on his brother's neglected duties. Home on leave, he's sent to find Wesley.

This was my first time listening to this author’s books. I enjoyed it so much I was sorry when the book ended. The story had everything for me - well written, witty, suspenseful, romantic and Christian values. The narrator did a terrific job.
