It is one of my new favorites!
Revisado: 05-09-24
I love the story. It was very cute, funny, exciting, and fast pace. However, it wasn’t too fast that you couldn’t keep up too complicated that your head hurt trying to keep track of all the facts and it didn’t get boring throughout the book. It was entertaining and engaging throughout the entire book. The narrator did a great job, capturing the characters personalities not complete, but all the guy characters did kind of all sound alike, but it wasn’t too terribly bad to the point where I didn’t wanna hear it. Overall the entire book was a little predictable in some ways but the mystery plot was still interesting and had enough unexpected plot twist that it kept me interested. I would definitely recommend and I definitely feel like Victoria and Stoker are one of my new all-time favorite book characters!

The Ending is just wow.
Revisado: 04-02-24
The whole story is pretty good and the whole book makes you want to continue going and not stop listening to it. And then the ending is just well wow but if you don’t go through the whole book and skip to the ending, you won’t care too much about the characters until the ending.

A fun and simple but entertaining kids spy thriller.
Revisado: 09-21-23
A cute and entertaining kids spy thriller. Very clean and enjoyable to listen to. The spy school series is a great quick and enjoyable read. Takes just long enough for you to get invested and feel like listening to you/reading a novel. While still not taking a good long time to enjoy. As I have read the other two spy school books and now this one is my third it didn’t disappoint. I look forward to the next book in the series.

An amazing true story that doesn’t seem real, but actually truly is. I would highly recommend learning this woman’s life story. I want to research she autobiographies about her. But I would be this novel before reading the autobiography. It was so riveting and inspiring and entertaining in all the right ways.

A fantastic and super adorably enjoyable audio experience!
Revisado: 08-21-23
“Jeepers Creepers!” I can’t put any better then that. I truly was wowed by this fun and exciting children’s adventure book, way more then I expected. The first book was very enjoyable, however the second book was even more exciting and adventurous feeling since the fantastic flying flamingo, sisters, were air racing and world trotting.
As someone who like the flamingo sisters grow up in aviation with a aviation family too. I loved how close to the true heart of aviation it was. Also bring in the actual true story and modern day 99 organization was the chary on top of the sweet sugary female pilot enthusiast middle school children’s story!
P.S.
To me, a young adult, this story to me is very entertaining and fun for the whole family to listen too as well. So it is definitely for those kid at heart adults and parents. In my opinion, I believe any age group would enjoy the audio book, if they like young children adventures books and/or aviation history/stories.

Not my cup of tea, but pretty good and nice ending.
Revisado: 10-10-22
I love watching the Abbie Emmons YouTube channel, and I just started listening to her and her sister’s podcast.
Here is what I love about Abbie’s writing:
She captures the real feelings and emotions of her characters and shows them in their actions. Even though some of the bad reviews I read before listening to the book were a little bit correct on some of what they said, overall, if you do your best to imagine the real pain that being sick (temporarily forced to live your life in a way you never thought you would have to and don’t want to) it would be understandable for Tessa the main character to have a fiery temper and have a very selfish attitude.
Also, Westin “liking” her explosive temper and cruel words were his way of feeling normal even though he was flawed for thinking so. (Read the entire book to understand what I am talking about.)
Lastly, I liked the ending because it is beautiful how the conflict ends. (I know that is vague; I don’t want to spoil the book)
Now here is what I don’t quite care for, but it is primarily a personal preference.
Now contemporary mainly love story books are not really my thing. But I read it because I wanted to see what Abbie wrote and published.
Now here is why I didn’t rate this five stars:
I am probably a bit picky, but many words and obvious things were repetitively said throughout the story, literally in a sentence and sections throughout the book. Now I know some of this was a matter of expressing a feeling better shown and disbelief of the character. But believe that if the words were typed twice or three times, the point would have been made quicker and less annoying.
Also, as much as Tessa’s feelings and completely disrespectful and a bit irritating anger were realistic and understandable, I felt the amount of time spent on these qualities in the book was too much for the reader's sake, and I wish there were more time giving to how she truly is. I can imagine that could be hard to do in the book, but I just wish it had been shorter.
Finally, yes, there was quite a bit of cursing in parts of the book. (Not a fan of) However, nothing more than what you would hear in a PG-13 movie or a TV-14 show. I also can't fully judge whether the school scenes are realistic or not because, like Abbie, I was homeschooled too most of my school years. But outside of the sightly (odd to me) fight scenes in the book. I, to this day, have seen kids in that age group talking and having attitudes like those discussed in the book. If that happens every day at school, I don’t know and don’t think so. But it covered important aspects only and not every single day of school.
Overall, I feel it is a well-done book, and I truly liked the ending. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy love stories and love dissecting and imagining people in certain situations, emotions, and feelings: so other words, the touchy-feely type of book. As I said in the title, that isn’t quite My favorite type of book but I did like the books story overall.
If you made it this far in my review, kudos to you. I hope it was helpful, I didn’t spoil anything and worth it. I want to you realize I don’t hate the book, and I don’t not recommend it. I just wanted to put my two cents out there about it. If you decide to read it, I think that you won’t be completely disappointed.
