Historia
I walked in on my now ex-boyfriend hitting a high note—with the singer of the band he's supposed to be managing. My encore? Waking up in a tangle of three sinfully delicious rockstars. Three nights. Three nights of heated revenge with the biggest band on my company’s label. Three nights where rough, gruff men struck chords in places I never knew could hum. The morning I woke up sandwiched between the three members of JAX; Was the morning I realized I may have ruined my career. Forever. Yet, instead of facing a firing squad led by my ex at the record label, I was in for the shock of my ...

AI doesn't replace people!
Revisado: 03-01-24
First let me say that the actual story was good. DESPITE the AI narration, I was invested in the characters.
As for the AI narration? It was horrible. How incredibly lazy to have AI and not have different voices for different characters, or at least a male voice when it was from a male POV. The inflection of the fake voice was always the same. If a character was upset, the voice was cheerful. Sad mood? Cheerful voice! "Hot" scene? Cheerful voice! It took me out of the story. The cadence was off. Then let's talk about the mispronounced or inconsistently pronounced words. It couldn't even pronounce "jeans" correctly! (that is only one example) ... Real narrators put so much life into the things they read. They should NOT be replaced by computers! I am so glad I didn't pay for this, although I would love to support the author, I am glad I didn't support the AI.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Distracting music
Revisado: 09-10-22
The actual narrator was good, but the other aspects, like the music, were extremely distracting. I really didn't need the regurgitation sounds. The music itself was so far out of the time period that it made it difficult to remember that this was not in present day... The story was ok over all. I liked seeing Lydia's story

Didn't ring my bell
Revisado: 12-25-21
At a little less than 1/2 way through I wasn't sure if I was going to finish it. A certain scene/event with his family and his reaction SERIOUSLY pissed me off. From that moment on I listened with a serious lack of enthusiasm. I haven't read anything else in the series, but if this is typically, I don't think I could.
Also, it seriously reminded me of the the Petaybee Series by Anne McCaffrey. I liked that one better (maybe I am still too upset about his reaction, but it's how I feel)

Historia
Camellia Beauregard is a Belle. In the opulent world of Orleans, Belles are revered, for they control beauty, and beauty is a commodity coveted above all else. In Orleans, the people are born gray, they are born damned, and only with the help of a Belle and her talents can they transform and be made beautiful. But it's not enough for Camellia to be just a Belle. She wants to be the favorite - the Belle chosen by the queen of Orleans to live in the royal palace, to tend to the royal family and their court, to be recognized as the most talented Belle in the land.

Like watching a train wreck
Revisado: 07-28-21
The writing was decent enough, but the story was painful from start to finish. It was full of pain, angst, and a demented idea of beauty. That may have been the intent of the story, but it was painful to read. There were flashes of good story, but it was a slog of sadism and cruelty otherwise. The "good" parts of the story were so short and the rest was basically just a showcase of horrors. There was a lot that didn't make sense in the plot and it was painful to continue listening. I won't be finishing the series

In the wrong order
Revisado: 07-02-20
Cute stories... They are put together in the wrong order though. The first part is second, which was super confusing

She is annoying!
Revisado: 08-20-19
The main female character is SO ANNOYING!! Her continual bad choices and ignorance (NOT innocence! Because even innocent people can still make good choices!) made me so frustrated that I couldn't finish the book and I hate quitting on a book! I liked the other stories and I had such high expectations for this character

Disappointed
Revisado: 12-26-18
I love these books. I am disappointed in the way they are portrayed here. The narrator isn't bad. Unfortunately they cut out so much of the meat of the book. Much of the humor of this wonderful author was sucked out of the book when they abridged it.
Book One starts at Chapter 18 which is very frustrating. The book naturally jumps from time to time because that is how it's written. The unfortunate part comes into play due to the fact that they didn't make any audible notification of the jumps. All of the parts just roll together.
As a whole, I am saddened by this representation of beloved stories
