Narration can make or break an audiobook. In this case, the story and characters were interesting, funny, and compelling. The great narration was the cherry on top!

I think this is my favorite of the series. I love how Larissa Reinhart's characters grow. Marie is still too hard on herself, but she is becoming much more self-aware.

There is a brand new character that I hope we get to see more of on future books.

I love the length of each book in this series. Just when you think things will start wrapping up, something happens that makes you realize you're only half-way through the book.

You can probably enjoy this book on its own, but do yourself a favor and start from the beginning. You won't regret it.

Another 5 star rating for Trixie & Mitzi

I love how Mitzi interacts with all of our favorite characters as Mitzi solves not one but two murders. Plus, we get to see her in not one but two disguises as she goes undercover twice! Her abilities are expanding and her relationship with Sheriff To-Hot-To-Handle heats up. Everything we love about Mitzi and her friends is present in this book. There was quite the tease at the end and I can't wait for the next book.

Fun at the Ren-faire

Why is it that the best books are over too soon? I think this one is my favorite of the series so far. I love Renaissance faires and that while time period. Trixie"s descriptions made me feel like I was there. if you like costumes, snark, a good mystery abs surprises, this book is for you! The narration was spot on, as always.

Trixie never disappoints

I love this series. Unlike some other series this one never gets stale. As a matter of fact the books Keri helping better. Trixe Silvertale find new ways to surprise us. Colleen Marlo is the perfect narrator. I can't wait to listen to the next book!

A favorite

I love this series. The narrator is wonderful and really highlights the humor. This particular book kept me guessing all the way and the twist made me cheer.

The only negative is that it had to end. I'm looking forward to the next audiobook in this series.

We get it. She worked in HR!

I liked the story, overall. I never would have guessed the killer but it didn't come out of thin air and I appreciate that. Dialog was written well.

However, I find myself thinking that, if I heard her say she had worked in HR one more time, I was going to scream! They say that readers have to read/ hear something 3 times in order to remember it. I think Ms Swanson multiplied that by 10. it really took me away from the story.

A different kind of cozy mystery

Tessa struggles with her new job as a grim reaper - with her controlling mom as her boss.

I enjoyed this story very much. As a reluctant reaper, Tessa's struggles with the job were amusing. I could easily picture her office, the apartment, the casino, and Linda, her ancient and recalcitrant car.

My only disappointment was the narrator. She overpronounced her words, making the narration feel stilted. She did a good job with dialog and I could easily tell who was speaking.

Overall, it was a pleasant listen and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I received a code from the author but this in no way affected my review.

Steven Weber is great!

I don't know if I would have gotten through the actual book. King gets a bit wordy at times. Steven Weber's reading made it all come alive for me. There were a few visuals I could have lived without. The day I finished, I heard children playing in a schoolyard and I wondered what was actually going through their minds, what they were actually going through in their lives. All because of this book. I've never seen the miniseries or the recent movie and I can't help but think they will not do this book justice.

Performance problems

I enjoyed the story but was very glad I got the boxed set because some of the books ended on a huge cliffhanger.

Narration was definitely hit and miss. The first narrator had a British accent which was a bit off-putting because the story takes place in Massachusetts. The narrator for the final 3 books consistently mispronounced words, or overpronounced them. I found myself correcting her, out loud. It definitely took away from my enjoyment of the story.
