I wanted to like this book but the main character is just not likable in any way, He's the worst caricature of how enemies of Christians would imagine them. Maybe he gets redeemed later but I've listed too far too much of the book without liking the guy. When I started rooting for the bad guys it was time to stop listening.

Written like a 13YO boy

The book is full of politics and I'm ok with that but it's written like a horny 13-year-old boy and full of moral rot. This is the same garbage that leads to the cultural rot the author is writing about. Lots of potential but wasted. I'm not interested in this immature writing. A lot of people complained about the narrator but I liked his voice.

Just the facts and a true story

The true story of our COVID-obsessed world backed up by facts and logic. It's a story no one wants to believe. Instead, much of our society wants to hide in fear and ignorance. Not a conspiracy theory, all backed up by easily verifiable facts unless you would rather just let someone else tell you what to believe and hand over your life, and your children's futures to those who gain power, riches, and influence by peddling endless panic.

The author has a great voice and a great narrative style. It would be so much more fun to listen to if this was all a nightmare from the past but Alex makes the best of our sorry situation anyway.

No real depth

I've listened to a few episodes and the hosts are professional and clear. But they always just kind of circle back to the same platitudes, God wins and such. These things are true and important but how about some actual depth into any topic? This is the same general problem with most books and sermons. They don't really tell you anything new.

Interesting premise but weak logic

I really wanted to like this book and was open to its message. But often his logic was circular or lacking. I believe he has some good points and interesting topics to explore but I just couldn't get past where he was pointing out other's lack of following logic in terms of what the Bible is saying but then does less than a thorough job himself. There could be something to what he is positing but he needs to make a better case. Maybe I didn't listen long enough but I just couldn't follow him.

Not as good as book 1

They changed the narrator which I thought would be a positive but though the narrator is less monotone he often just has the wrong tone, it's too upbeat and just feels off. I had to stop listening after only a few chapters because the story just seemed to go in another direction and became much less interesting.

A little slow but intriguing

I liked the story even though it wasn't as much action and intrigue as it could have been. At times the visions he has, feel forced and pointless but the story itself is decent. The narrator didn't have a lot of range but I was able to listen and still focus on the story.

Double minded at times with no insight

The author talks a lot about the confusion the Pope has brought but then often seems to contradict his own thoughts or just layout ideas with no meaning. The book just winds loosely all over and doesn't seem to draw any conclusions. The author needs to figure out what is hypotheses is before writing a book like this. He doesn't seem to want a hypothesis because of his personal Catholic views that the Pope can't have a motive that is against the Catholic church.

Very insightful

A biography of Bruce Arena that covers his whole career while giving the reader insight into what is right and what is wrong with US soccer. The reader may not have had Bruce's trademark New York accent but he did a good job nonetheless. I could have done without some of the foul language, especially one or two f-bombs but thankfully it wasn't too pervasive.
