Historia
The United Nations of Earth sent out the Forerunner ships to explore and colonize the four most promising star systems within 50 light-years of Earth. Forerunner One left Earth under the command of Captain Clayton Cross, heading for Trappist-1. After a ninety year journey to reach it, the crew encountered not only a habitable world, but alien life already inhabiting it, and dark secrets lurking beneath the surface. The revelation of who these aliens are and what they want proves more terrifying than promising, and Captain Cross is forced to make tough decisions that will affect not only his crew, but the fate of the entire human race.

Historia
Wildflower is a portrait of Drew's life in stories as she looks back on the adventures, challenges, and incredible experiences of her earlier years. It includes tales of living on her own at 14 (and how laundry may have saved her life), getting stuck in a gas station overhang on a cross-country road trip, saying good-bye to her father in a way only he could have understood, and many more adventures and lessons that have led her to the successful, happy, and healthy place she is today.

I will finish this book as a book not audiobook. I enjoy rhe stories but I can't stand the shrieking, loud crying, screaming in my ear! I love Drew Barrymore but I don't love all rhe emotion and passion while narrating the book.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Good read
Revisado: 10-18-22
For someone who is not bulimic, some of the descriptions where disturbing to me. Only because I have not experienced that life.
That bring said I am amazed at this young lady and her determination in getting well. She lived a crazy life growing up that was definitely not normal to everyday standards.

Love these books. this is my second time reading/listening to them. The narrator does a great job, although there are some voices I could do without. That being said, super impressed that he can change voices so quickly!

Historia
Lacey Spears made international headlines in January 2015, when she was charged with the "depraved mind" murder of her five-year-old son, Garnett. Prosecutors alleged that the 27-year-old mother had poisoned him with high concentrations of salt through his stomach tube. To the outside world, Lacey had seemed like the perfect mother, regularly posting dramatic updates on her son's harrowing medical problems. But in reality, Lacey was a textbook case of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.

just okay

This one was harder to listen to than the other books by this author. I'm not sure ifnits because of the content, crimes on a child, or just that it seemed long.

Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Read it next, even if you don't think you want to.
Revisado: 12-15-19
This book was not on my list/radar to read ever. :) I'm not a huge horror fan and had tried to read a Stephen King book when I was younger and it was too detailed for me.
Someone suggested I try reading it. As I had met my reading goal for the year I figured why not. I had not seen the new movies and had no desire to see them. Now that I have read the book, I still have no desire to see the movies. I don't think they could ever express in the movies the details that were in the book. MAYBE if they did a ten part series but not even in a two part movie.
I would absolutely suggest everyone read this book. I listened via audiobook. The narrator was AMAZING!!! The book is 45 hours long and it didn't even feel like it. I was interested the entire time. I couldn't wait to listen to it each day on my commute.
If you are worried that it will be too scary, it won't. There are some points that are a little tense and gives you the shivers. Especially if you are listening to it as the narrator is that good! I had a few times I was worried that I would be afraid to walk to my garage at night but I'm not.
In the end I am so grateful I read the book. The 45 hours was not wasted. READ IT NEXT!

Good read

I had read Billie Letts several years ago and remembered liking her writing style. So while on search for a new book I found this one.
It was a great read. I really enjoy her writing style. She had me fooled until the end. The narration was good as well. There are often times I am not able to listen to a book due to the narrator, this one was a good listen.

Not What I Was Looking For
Revisado: 06-04-19
I had read a review about making them laugh out loud which was what I was needing in a book. I had seen the movie and really liked it. The book.....not so much. Just wasnt my favorite. I had no laugh out loud moments and found at one point I wanted to quit listening. I ended up finishing on 1.5 speed just to get through it.
That being said, it wasnt the worst thing I have heard, just wasnt what I was looking for. I likely would not have watched the movie had I read the book first.
