Historia
From the quaint shores of Azure Cove, a dream and a derelict inn I never knew I'd inherit. Driftwood Dreams Inn, a relic of the past, holding untold potential beneath layers of time's forgetfulness. With sketchpad in hand, I imagined a new beginning, a fresh start. Danny, my steadfast rock, stood by me, offering support, love, and the helping hands of his three best friends: Dylan, Logan, and Ryder. Dylan, a master of his craft, his carpentry skills as breathtaking as his intense gaze. Together, we discovered the inn's structural secrets, the thrill of our shared passion making my heart ...

It repeats itself
Revisado: 02-09-25
The chapters seem to be out of order. It repeats sentiments without development of why & the scenes are not completed. I kept asking myself why? What? How? The characters have an “unspoken understanding” but at some point tell the reader.

I love an attentive man with an accent!
Revisado: 03-04-24
No spoiler alert: The story developed with showing how love grows in the mind first. It empowers women to keep their options open and gives hope that men can be honest with &in their vulnerability. The heart in this book and of the book is warming. It is a page turner.

Narrator gave me goosebumps
Revisado: 11-24-23
The male narrator did his part as Zo. Some of his commands gave me chills. I laughed, chuckled and Cackled at the antagonizing of the ugly husband. This made me add Zo to my book boyfriend list.

It was great!!
Revisado: 08-29-23
I enjoyed that they didn’t break-up to make-up like most romance books. Malik was supportive the entire time once he found his one. He treated her like a Queen, was a patient and kind gentleman. It was a nice comfort book and quick enjoyable listen.

Pleasantly surprised
Revisado: 06-02-23
I can usually guess how a book is going to go or get annoyed with characters. This was a good read and could be a Lifetime movie.

Historia
Touré Wallace and Niomi Spencer were close friends at Finley College, the prestigious HBCU they attended. The attraction that simmered between them every semester was a question they never got to ask or answer before soaring ambitions launched them to opposite corners of the world. Both chased their dreams of grit and glamor as high-profile journalists. They got it all...except a shot at being more than friends. Years later, Touré is an award-winning investigative journalist and Niomi is America's most popular morning-show host, but they both feel like something’s missing.

Cute & quaint!
Revisado: 02-16-23
I loved every second! It didn’t give me the angst period of the “oh no.. something bad is going to happen that will break us up then bring us back together”. It was pleasurable, effervescent, refreshing with budding love, female empowerment and captured a glimpse of HBCU culture.

Historia
Stable, safe, predictable—all words that aptly describe Professor Nadia Day’s life. An existence she’s carefully crafted for herself despite her unconventional upbringing and what, to her, is an unseemly past. The last thing she would ever do is rock the boat when it comes to her life and livelihood. When retired football player and single dad, Nathan Moore, walks into her psychology classroom, all fine and dreadlocked, he does more than rock her boat—he rocks her world and causes her to question her buttoned-up existence.
