Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Historia
On February 28, 2013, after pleading guilty to violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, John Kiriakou began serving a 30 month prison sentence. His crime: blowing the whistle on the CIA's use of torture on al Qaeda prisoners. Doing Time Like a Spy is Kiriakou's memoir of his 23 months in prison. Using 20 life skills he learned in CIA operational training, he was able to keep himself safe and at the top of the prison social heap. It is at once a searing journal of daily prison life and an alternately funny and heartbreaking commentary on the federal prison system.

One of the best books I’ve ever read!
Revisado: 07-01-19
John Kiriakou, writes such a good book about his work in the CIA and life in prison. It is really an eye-opener from a different point of view that I’ve never seen or heard of before. Thanks John for writing your point of view, made into a book that I have never considered valuable until now. This book was excellent! “This book would make any parent proud!“

The Best Book
Revisado: 02-12-18
This is by far the best book I’ve ever read other than my scriptures. If it takes you a year to read a book then read this book or listen to it. If you are like me and can read or listen to a book a month then get this book. Brian really knows how to capture an audience and teach them things that they may already know but don’t know how to implement. If anyone ever writes a negative comment about this book I will hunt them down and make them read it again. I just finished the book for my second time in the same month in which I began it the first time. Thank you Brian for writing this book. One of my goals is to meet you one day and even have your personal phone number in my favorites list on my phone. However, if I never do, if I said thank you a million times I just don’t think it would be enough.

I can say I have probably learned the most from this book then in all the speaking classes and college courses that I have ever taken on the subject of speech. Thank you so much.
