Historia
Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Amazing book! Everyone should know it
Revisado: 06-29-23
It's an amazing book. Really! Everyone should read it. Could it be more concise? For sure. But you can always skip chapter you are not interested in. I'm the end it gives you the how and why to sleep better and even extrapolate the conclusion to education, health system, corporation incentives, etc. Amazing! Great job!

Historia
Game theory means rigorous strategic thinking. It’s the art of anticipating your opponent’s next moves, knowing full well that your rival is trying to do the same thing to you. Though parts of game theory involve simple common sense, much is counterintuitive, and it can only be mastered by developing a new way of seeing the world. Using a diverse array of rich case studies - from pop culture, TV, movies, sports, politics, and history - the authors show how nearly every business and personal interaction has a game-theory component to it.

Game theory book impractical and unrealistic.
Authors are academic and crated explained this framework to make decisions. Some obvious things explained in a very complex way almost impossible to understand without a visual guide.

Not great
Revisado: 12-31-16
I've readen better books about the topic. There is nothing new and the approach (making connection between friendship and criminals) is just not relevant or interesting, most times, not even valuable or efficient.
Some useful techniques and conversation examples though.

Recession-Proof Graduate is a wildly popular career guide that's been downloaded over 150,000 times. This audiobook is frequently shared among students, teachers, parents, counselors, freelancers, and entrepreneurs. It's been integrated in the coursework at a number of universities, given away as a graduation gift, and translated to Italian. When I changed my strategy, I landed a handful of dream gigs, got to work with amazing people like Tim Ferriss and Ramit Sethi, and found myself turning down multiple paid job offers.

Historia
Why do most new businesses fail, yet a few entrepreneurs have a habit of winning over and over again? The shocking discovery of years of research and trial is that most startups fail by doing the "right things," but doing them out of order. In other words, human nature combined with our entrepreneurial drive puts us on autopilot to become part of the 70% to 90% of ventures that fail.

Historia
You always knew digital was going to change things, but you didn’t realize how close to home it would hit. In every industry, digital competitors are taking advantage of new platforms, tools, and relationships to undercut rivals, get closer to customers, and disrupt the usual ways of doing business. The only way to compete is to evolve. James McQuivey of Forrester Research has been teaching people how to do this for more than a decade. He’s gone into the biggest companies, even in traditional industries like insurance and consumer packaged goods, and changed the way they think about innovation.

Really specific for enterprise in Scallinng fase.
I guess it worths the reading. Nice insights. But it focus on metrics what is not absolutely necessary and a big debate.
A lot of citation of books. Don't know why the author does it. Maybe to validate his opinions maybe because there is no novelty in what he is saying.
