Historia
When Van Tudor returns to his childhood home, he inherits more than the family farm. His grandfather used to tell him fantastic stories of spacemen and monsters, princesses and galactic knights. Little did Van realize, the old man's tales were more than fiction; they were real. Hidden beneath the old barn, Van’s legacy is waiting: a starship, not of this world. With his combat AI, an android bird named Perry, Van takes his first steps into the wider galaxy. He soon finds that space is far busier and more dangerous than he could have ever conceived.

Great characters, wonderful narration.
Revisado: 03-16-25
This book would make a great TV series similar to Firefly. The characters interaction is fun. The narration has enough variation to be interesting without being overdone. Very easy to listen to.

Historia
Most folks associate the city of Salem, Massachusetts, with witches, but for Lee Barrett it's home. This October she's returned to her hometown - where her beloved Aunt Ibby still lives - to interview for a job as a reporter at WICH-TV. But the only opening is for a call-in psychic to host the late-night horror movies. It seems the previous host, Ariel Constellation, never saw her own murder coming.

Light and entertaining
Revisado: 01-16-25
Wonderful characters throughout the story. The ending was obvious early on but it was still entertaining to see the progression.
The reader was a bit boring making g some of the characters somewhat bland. It is a good book to fall asleep to.

While the sheriff conducts his investigation, Kelton begins to discover the small sleepy southern town by the interstate isn’t as quaint and innocent as it appears. Interesting characters
Revisado: 11-18-24
There needs to be some proofing of virtual voices, especially when it comes to pronouncing words or names in different languages. This virtual voice, like most, has very little variation emotion expression or character voices. Since virtual voice is used why not a feminine voice for female characters and a masculine voice for males. Some of situations are not very believable, but it is fiction. The protagonists are worth cheering on with some having unique backgrounds. It is fairly predictable but written in a way that makes it hard to put down. Overall the story is good enough to listen to next one to see if there is some variation or one of those series that is the same story with different characters and places.

Fun characters
Revisado: 11-14-24
Somewhat light hearted with delightful characters. The use of plural pronouns for a single person was distracting. The sex scenes were unnecessary but gratefully limited.

It is hard to rate the actual story since the narration was so bad. It was tolerable for the first 30 minutes or so, but then was so grating I could not finish.

Overall a big disappointment.
Revisado: 09-25-24
The main characters were hard to like or empathize with. The story was dark and depressing with a depressing ending. It was nice to read a horse story where most of the horse stuff was believable and not everyone won blue ribbons. The two trainer/instructors seemed to be screw ups, however, constantly making mistakes on or with their horses. There was too much emphasis on mental illness and suicide with multiple characters which made it more depressing. It was not what was described in the synopsis at all.

A big let down.
Revisado: 09-02-24
There did not seem much value to this book except fir the death of one character. Otherwise it was quite boring. Character interactions were dull. There is not much value to the story at all. It seems the strings tied up in it could have been woven into other books and left this book out entirely.
