Historia
Scott Adams was one of the earliest public figures to predict Donald Trump’s election. The mainstream media regarded Trump as a lucky clown, but Adams - best known as “the guy who created Dilbert” - recognized a level of persuasion you only see once in a generation. We’re hardwired to respond to emotion, not reason, and Trump knew exactly which emotional buttons to push. The point isn’t whether Trump was right or wrong, good or bad. Adams goes beyond politics to look at persuasion tools that can work in any setting - the same ones Adams saw in Steve Jobs.

The host of Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight offers a blistering critique of the new American ruling class, the elites of both parties, who have taken over the ship of state, leaving the rest of us, the citizen-passengers, to wonder: How do we put the country back on course?

Money over Health
Revisado: 03-31-17
Story's told by the author hold your interest well and the "wake up message", is clear. Only you and your family can learn to eat better. The processors and distribstors of what is called food have too much money at stake.

Historia
What defines an American? Is it the love of liberty, the pursuit of justice, the urge to invent, the desire for wealth, the drive to explore, the quest for spiritual values? The paradox of American identity is that although the United States is a melting pot of many different traditions, motives, and ideals, there are nevertheless distinctive qualities that define the American character.

Interesting walk through US history
Revisado: 02-26-17
I liked the order of presentation of the material and how the lectures connected the timelines. The novelity of an non-native English reader describing the US identity added interest.

Outside the Box Thinking
Revisado: 07-21-15
The two Steves (Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt) are a great team. They team up to produce an insightful view of our human condition. I like their style of "let's us look at the data," and not worry if the examination is PC (politically correct)! Oh if only our (supposedly freely elected) leaders could lead this way.
Wider application the of Dubner & Levitt process would help us stop doing stupid things and get rid of stupid laws that lock in these stupid actions. For example putting corn oil into our auto fuel which ruins our internal combustion engines and increases the cost of food.

Historia
It’s amateur hour at the White House. So says New York Times best-selling author Edward Klein in his political exposé The Amateur. Tapping into the public’s growing sentiment that President Obama is in over his head, The Amateur argues that Obama’s toxic combination of incompetence and arrogance has run our nation and his presidency off the rails.

The Halo Effect Trumps Everything
Revisado: 05-28-12
If you could sum up The Amateur in three words, what would they be?
Obama President - How?
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Amateur?
Obama dumping his mentor, Jeremiah Wright and not being vetted about it before the last election.
Have you listened to any of John McLain’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not to my knowledge.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Chapter 17 "The Obama Doctrine"
Obama believes, "The US is not the greatest nation"
Any additional comments?
Since this book is number 1 on the New York Times best sellers list, I trust the statements made in this book will be fact tested. This will require Obama to be vetted in a more objective manner.
If this book is true and the US voters understand that it is true, Obama will be a one term US President.
The job of President of the US is not one for complete "on-the-job training."

Historia
A visionary and optimistic thinker examines the tension between privacy and publicness that is transforming how we form communities, create identities, do business, and live our lives. The Internet, he argues, will change business, society, and life as profoundly as Gutenberg’s invention, shifting power from old institutions to us all.
