It’s amateur hour at the White House. So says New York Times best-selling author Edward Klein in his political exposé The Amateur. Tapping into the public’s growing sentiment that President Obama is in over his head, The Amateur argues that Obama’s toxic combination of incompetence and arrogance has run our nation and his presidency off the rails.
“Obama was both completely inexperienced and ideologically far to the left of most Americans when he entered the White House,” says Klein. “And he was so arrogant that he didn’t even know what he didn’t know.”
Klein, who is known for getting the inside scoop on everyone from the Kennedys to the Clintons, reveals never before published details about the Obama administration’s political inner workings, as well as Barack and Michelle’s personal lives, including the inordinate influence Michelle wields over Barack and her feud with a high profile celebrity; the real reason Rahm Emanuel left the White House (it wasn’t for family reasons); why Valerie Jarrett’s role is closer to that of Rasputin than impartial senior advisor; how Obama has purposefully forgotten and ignored those who put him in power, including the Kennedys and the Jewish and African American communities in Chicago.
From Obama’s conceited and detached demeanor, to his detrimental reliance on Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett’s advice, to the Obamas’ extravagant and out of touch lifestyle, The Amateur reveals a president whose ignorance and incompetence are sabotaging himself, his presidency, and America.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this book. It opens your eyes to a lot of stuff. This book isn't someone's "opinion". So many people Obama and Michelle crapped on. Including Oprah Winfrey. If you are someone that will not believe the harsh truths about Obama, you should open your eyes. What did you like best about this story?
The whole thing.Have you listened to any of John McLain’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I haven'tWhat’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

The old adage that says "Where there's smoke, there's fire," is probably as true here as it ever was. Democrats will undoubtedly call the author names and denigrate his credentials, but the truth is that Obama has attempted too much change in too short a time. It appears that either all these things are true about his arrogance, or he is not the communicator people believed he would be back in 2008.There has never before been a President whose history we know almost nothing about, and is so questionable. When not one person comes forward who remembers him at college (other than Harvard,) and his birth location, and religious convictions are still contested, one wonders who this man really is.If even a small percentage of this book is true, we have a "strange duck" as our leader. I know the "politically correct" crowd (otherwise known as the "Say it this way, whether it is true or not" crowd) would just like to accept what the President says as his true intentions. But too many times in the past he has said one thing and done exactly the opposite. One can say that's politics, but in the case of Obama it appears to be more a case of a knee-jerk style of leadership. So Democrats will hate it, and Republicans will love it. History, if not rewritten by progressives, however, will show this man to truly be a divider of people, a failure as a leader, and probably a Presidential failure in the class of Jimmy Carter. Not unexpected - but sobering

Yes, one has to read it with an open mindWhat was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
Conservative writer but gave the liberal perpective tooWhich character – as performed by John McLain – was your favorite?
N/AWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes women seem to influence Mr Obamas decision making. It also seems that there wasIslamic teachings in his childhood that was not mentioned in Mr. Obama's Political biogrphy. He became a christan as an adult. Not that that should matter but living in both worlds myself there is a particular mindset between the two faiths.
Any additional comments?

If you could sum up The Amateur in three words, what would they be?
Obama President - How?What was one of the most memorable moments of The Amateur?
Obama dumping his mentor, Jeremiah Wright and not being vetted about it before the last election.Have you listened to any of John McLain’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not to my knowledge. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Chapter 17 "The Obama Doctrine"Obama believes, "The US is not the greatest nation"
Any additional comments?
Since this book is number 1 on the New York Times best sellers list, I trust the statements made in this book will be fact tested. This will require Obama to be vetted in a more objective manner. If this book is true and the US voters understand that it is true, Obama will be a one term US President.
The job of President of the US is not one for complete "on-the-job training."
