Virtual voice is not the same

The story was done by virtual voice. The breaks between speakers were non-existing in many places. There no discernable difference between three male + female characters. I had to force myself to finish the story.
As in the story: it went supernaturally fast from I can not stand him to Oh, I love him and vice versa.

awful narrator

when I start a new book it sometimes takes me a bit to get used to the narrator. I could never get used to this one.

horrible read

This book has some horrible fat shaming in it. It was not an enjoyable read/listen. I was hoping it would get better, but it did very little.
I do realize, that this a real problem, but this was not a good literary try at dealing with the issue.

not a favorite - bad narrator

First of all the narrator is not a favorite for me. it is a very stilted predormance and takes much of the book down in quailty.
Second is the storyline. the hero comes across as a very "un-manly". to me the hero should be a strong alpha figure. this guy has some of those quailties, but teeters between looking like a very sweet kind of guy and an alpha male. the heroine had custody of her 7 siblings, she supposedly battled hard to get it, but then she faints at the tought of scandal. please, any woman raising 7 kids can not be such a delicate person.....

I was not fond of the immature hero. The constant reference to the bible was also very annoying. The hero struggled for most of the book with acting like a teenager. But right at the end puff he matured by reading the bible.... really ????? The other books in the series also had some biblical references, but this one just had too much for my taste....

annoying male character

I could not finish this one.... seldom has a male lead been so unbelievable. .... please the dude has nude painting of himself in his bedroom, parades around naked.... I stuck with it as long as I could.....

bad narrator

the narrator killed this book for me. It was like someone running nails on a chalk board.....She was just trying to hard and her "voices" were flat out fake sounding or almost comical. It made it hard to focus on the story.....also cats as murders, please that is just too far out there...

horrible narration

The narrator was really grating on me. I had listened to other books in the series with the same narrator and he was actually ok, but his portrait of the main character was flat out horrible.
The story itself was a typical Cynster novel, just a little less steamy then the earlier ones.

good story - poor choice of narrator<br />

the voice of the narrator was to me like nails on a blackboard. I had a hard time I turned the book back on. The story however was good enough for me to cone back to it.The hero went a little too fast from nerdy scientist to the strong manly type and heroine stayed a little to timid until the end. I would have liked to have known, if the evil cousin eventually got her and if her good brother eventually found happiness.
