The World Health Organization reports that suicide accounts for over 700,000 deaths annually. This means that every 45 seconds, someone takes their own life. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among young people ranging in age from 15 to 29 years old. For every individual who commits suicide, there are many more who attempt to do so. In 2003, I lost my 3-year-old daughter due to a heart defect and in 2012, lost my 14-year-old son to a violent suicide. Loved this book, I think every grieving mother should listen to. I am a member of The Compassionate Friends and they have help me tremendously too. No parent should walk alone in this horrific journey of loosing a child .
