It was a short book which was what I was looking for and it wasn’t bad. There were quite a few funny and interesting scenes. My only issue is that the main couple spent at least 4 hours of this short story avoiding each other and lying about their feelings. I think it would have been sweeter if they had actually gotten together a bit earlier. All the misunderstandings were frustrating. Still, worth a listen since it’s free and the writing is good.

Too much swallowing…

I enjoyed the writing, although the main character did have an annoying habit thinking to themselves a bit too much/too repetitively. Overall though the book was solid.

My issue is with the narrator. I will be avoiding any books read by her in the future. There was so much audible swallowing. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to just re-record a line if you needed to swallow halfway though.

Cliffhanger

Love the series and this book was one of the best in it but I do not like cliffhangers. Hopefully the next book will come quickly!

My head hurts!

I listened to the whole thing so I won’t lie and say I wasn’t entertained, but I hated the narration of Anthony’s constant over acting. The itch drove me as crazy as it drove him and WTF was with that weird laugh? It felt like listening to the inner monologue of a very loud and very crazy child. Which is probably what the author was going for, but it really wasn’t for me.

Still, I may get the next one eventually. When my head stops pounding. I just wish the MC wasn’t the equivalent to nails on a chalkboard for me.

Wow this was good!

I’m really into the story. I started reading more on royal road because I can’t get enough. It is definitely gory sometimes though and no details are spared so if that’s something that bothers you maybe pass on this one.

Loved everything but Luka’s voice

The book was great and the character development is honestly incredible. The only complaint I have is how often Luka yells and bursts my eardrums. He’s so snappy with everyone out of nowhere and the narrator really leans into it. I received more than one headache listening to this but it was definitely worth it in the end.

Best of both Worlds

For me this book really hit the spot and I cannot wait for the next one. I love cultivation/litrpg and I’m a lesbian so This was honestly perfect. It’s so well written and the characters are all completely unique. I will recommend this one for sure.
