This course is excellent. I have a basic but limited knowledge of WordPress. This class is very good at walking the user through all of the basic steps of setting up a site on WordPress. I love the attention to detail that we beginners often struggle with. The instructor does an excellent job at explaining the various aspects of establishing a site.

Understanding Ketosis

Ketosis is basically the process of your body relying on fats rather than on carbs or glucose to provide it with energy. Most people eat enough carbs that they are going to rely on those for their source of energy. But this is not a very efficient form of energy. You will quickly go through cycles of high energy and then crash when the carbs are all gone, and you will end up eating way more than you need just to keep your energy levels up. With ketosis, you do not need to worry about your energy levels crashing and then trying to eat more carbs in order to increase your energy levels again. Instead, you will teach the body to stop relying on carbs and instead the body will learn to rely on healthy fats that you start to take in. When you eat healthy fats, ketones are going to be produced and used for energy. Ketones will replace the glucose, giving you plenty of healthy energy without having to worry about the horrible crashes that glucose (sugars from carbs) causes. Ketosis is a process by which the body uses stored fat or body fat as fuel or energy. So, when very little carbs are consumed and that energy is used up, the body will go into ketosis in which the body will look to fat as an energy source for using as fuel or energy. Checking to see if you are in ketosis is very important if you are practicing the ketogenic diet. You will only lose weight once you reach the state of ketosis and some people may need to adjust their food intake a bit more than others to see some weight loss results. It is important to state that there are test strips available at pharmacies that you can buy that will allow you to check for the level of ketones in your body, so that you can adjust your diet early on and figure out what changes you need to make to your diet.

The project will include the following outputs: 1. Opinion visualization: explore and visualize the review content to understand what people have said in those reviews. 2. Cuisine map construction: mine the data set to understand the landscape of different types of cuisines and their similarities. 3. Discovery of popular dishes for a cuisine: mine the data set to discover the common/popular dishes of a particular cuisine. 4. Recommendation of restaurants to help people decide where to dine: mine the data set to rank restaurants for a specific dish and predict the hygiene condition of a restaurant. From the perspective of users, a cuisine map can help them understand what cuisines are there and see the big picture of all kinds of cuisines and their relations. Once they decide what cuisine to try, they would be interested in knowing what the popular dishes of that cuisine are and decide what dishes to have. Finally, they will need to choose a restaurant. Thus, recommending restaurants based on a particular dish would be useful. Moreover, predicting the hygiene condition of a restaurant would also be helpful. By working on these tasks, you will gain experience with a typical workflow in data mining that includes data preprocessing, data exploration, data analysis, improvement of analysis methods, and presentation of results. You will have an opportunity to combine multiple algorithms from different courses to complete a relatively complicated mining task and experiment with different ways to solve a problem to understand the best way to solve it. We will suggest specific approaches, but you are highly encouraged to explore your own ideas since open exploration is, by design, a goal of the Project. You are required to submit a brief report for each of the tasks for peer grading. A final consolidated report is also required, which will be peer-graded.

I never programed with C.

This is a GREAT course. First take, I never programed with C. I had sufficient experience with Python, R, Matlab etc. Even though the instructor continuously emphasize that attendants need at least 1 year experience in C (every time I heard it, I rolled my eyes), the assignments were not hardcore. The instructor also reviewed a LOT of contents from C, so I never felt disadvantaged. C++ is not a difficult language to learn (until now at least) and I felt joy. Even though I disagree with the order of some others, they provide great assistance in finishing the homework. I spent almost 3 weekends and 2 nights of working days, so not that much time. I would like to thank the instructor for providing such a great opportunity on this platform.

Builds up all the foundational knowledge.

Very well structured course that comprehensively builds up all the foundational knowledge required for understanding blockchains with emphasis on Bitcoin and Ethereum, but not just restricted to them. The course has short lectures followed by exhaustive optional reading, which I thought should have just been made required reading, given how they work towards both expanding and cementing the knowledge imparted in the lectures. I initially signed up to test the waters with this course to learn the basics, but now that I have completed it, it has piqued my interst in what lay ahead. I am moving on to the rest of the courses in this specialization. Thank you for a great course that was well delivered.

Good Pain

Overall satisfied with the course. It talks a lot more about convolution than I expected since I took deep learning courses in the past and they always explain it briefly. Now we get the full picture thanks to this course. It has a good pace and it goes in depth.

This is probably the ONLY couching-like course without couching mumbo jumbo.
Joseph is a great, engaging instructor. Some useful tricks, especially how to trick your brain to get a positive outcome from a situation. Also, the meditation audio is very, VERY powerful.

A fantastic follow up class to his Power BI service and data modelling, also Solving computer vision tasks using convolutional neural networks. There was some similar podcasts in both classes, but I do feel it helped me with understanding the concepts being taught. The Power BI part of this class was very helpful and informational, it was great class overall!
