Historia
Unbeknownst to him, Ray is about to partake on an adventure filled with magical beasts, warring factions, and a leveling-up system out of this world. He'll encounter filthy bandits, musty crypts, and friendly werewolves. Oh, you heard us right. If only he wasn't given negative charisma points around women, he might have a chance, but you can't win them all.

It was ok
Revisado: 12-27-22
Not a bad LitRPG but it uses many of the already used tropes and although it was good, it’s not good enough to spend 8+ credits to listen to the whole series. If the books were combined into 20hr books I might’ve purchased all of them.

Historia
In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.

Disturbing
Revisado: 01-24-22
Indirect spoiler alert:
I’ve enjoyed listening to this series more than once, and Nick Podehl is phenomenal, but paying attention to every detail in my last listen, I found book 7 disturbing and offensive. Not only are there brutal torture scenes, but the racial metaphors become quite clear, and the author’s character and intentions unfortunately come into question. After spending over 100 hours listening and then distracted by the brutality , it’s easy to overlook Aleron’s implications, but chapter 92 reveals everything. It’s the scene with Heman, who is described as having white skin, while Richter is described as having a “black face.”.
Aieron can say he’s trying to be thought-provoking, and may even accuse this response as an example of white fragility, but the hate in the subject chapter is more egregious, and cannot be overlooked.
The subsequent 8th book, which is total trash, is like a FU to his readers, as if to say, “Yeah, I really did that, after you bought 8 of my books.”
LOL. Thanks for the story, psycho.

Historia
Corporate flameout Ned Altimer dreams of leaving his world behind. So, when Earthblood Online splashes onto the VRMMO scene, he dives in and never looks back. His advantages are twofold: exclusive access to the game’s three-day Head Start period, and a ridiculously handsome talking axe named Frank who has knowledge of the game’s deepest secrets...if the magnificent Frank ever feels like sharing them.

First 2 books = 5*
Revisado: 11-23-21
Starts out slow in Book 1 to the point of thinking about returning it, but by the end of Book 2, I consider it one of the best LitRPG on Audible.
I’ve read the Land, VGO, Dark Herbalist, Ascend Online, Access Online, plus about 15 other LitRPGs and this is the best one in a couple of years.

Revisado: 06-06-21
I love this book so much but Kaladin drives me crazy with his bad. bad choices. It takes more and more patience to forgive him for giving Moash, the guy who wants to kill the king, full shards. Adelin asks him “What’s wrong with you?” and that’s what I ask every time I listen to this book. Anyone but Moash. Why not Teft or one of the others who had not disobeyed direct orders. It just doesn’t make sense.

Historia
Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns. The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most.

Home run for Dakota Krout
Revisado: 04-11-21
The Completionist Chronicles is definitely one of my favorite LitRPG series, and Book 6 makes it even better. Along with the interesting and highly technical gaming aspects that always become available to Joe’s Ritualist, this book carries on with suspense, plot-twists, and humor that exceed most other LitRPG. In addition, a new character, General Havoc, is introduced, and he steals the show as the misunderstood crazy Elf General. We also get a visit from Jackson in the last few chapters. I didn’t want this one to end and hope there will be more to the series.

Historia
Dakkon’s in trouble. Things have gone horribly wrong. But so long as there’s still a glimmer of hope, it’s not too late, is it? With such high stakes, failure isn’t an option. He’s got to stay crisp. Frosty. Focused. Dakkon needs luck, skill, and a meteoric rise in power, however success won’t come so easily. Nature is cruel. Predators come in all shapes and sizes, especially when the land is warped by magic.

Very good LitRPG
Revisado: 04-04-21
Chronicle is a well written adventure story with excellent game mechanics, characters, and sub-plots. If you like campy, Book 2 is great with a gang of friends making an epic trek on an impossible quest. Book 3 is just as good as the first two books with the introduction of drunkard Prince, and a lonely evil dungeon. If not for the sappy obsession the MC has with his best friend, a unique NPC, I’d have given this series a full five stars. That is overdone, IMO. Most importantly though, I have found this series to be quite an enjoyable and easy read, and one that could possibly be good enough to listen to again. There are so many good LITRPG books, though, I don’t know if I’ll get around to it, but I’ll surely read a BOOK 4 if it is ever released. Nick Podehl is great as always in defining characters further with his voice acting. Well done!

Historia
Enemies emerge everywhere. Stagnation starts seeming standard. Results require Ruthlessness. Joe has been moving deeper into his study of ritual magic and further away from his combat team. He's learning more and more, but more often than not needs to choose between his research and squad leadership. Improving the town is a huge help to the guild, and they have been pushing to increase their power. Their rapid increases have not gone unnoticed. The guild receives an ultimatum, delivered by assassins and signed with blood.

It’s been years since anyone has seen Noble Vincent, the player that brought down World-Tree Online’s tyrannical moderator. Even with a lifetime of perceived experiences in the game, he still has centuries to go before the update finally ends and the people trapped in the game are freed. After taking a long vacation and traveling to many worlds, he realizes its time to get his team back together so they can try to reach the top of the World-Tree.

Not as good as the first
Revisado: 07-07-20
The biggest difference is that the first book has a well-crafted villain and the second not so much. I never really became invested in the plights of the World Knights and there was too much battle play by play and not enough plot and character development. The novelty of them being stuck in the game for centuries gets a bit old w/o serious conflict and real risk, and I couldn’t help but think people would find more to do in a hundred years than level up or get drunk.

Not so good
Revisado: 06-14-20
This book doesn’t match up with the rest of the series at all. Seems like Aleron made some dough then lost the motivation and inspiration. It’s not bad just not as good as the others. Like it says “Do better” next time if there is one. Could be he just moves on to next series?

Historia
Dante and Blays have a single hope of victory: the Spear of Stars, the long-lost weapon that may be capable of killing the lich. There's just one problem. Though they've learned the spear is real, they've also learned the nine parts of the weapon are guarded by the gods themselves. And they have no intention of handing over their prize. Alone in a strange realm, with no friends or allies, and a growing list of enemies, Dante and Blays' task looks doomed. Yet, they're the last line standing between the lich and the destruction of their whole world.

Best audiobook I’ve listened to this year
Revisado: 06-10-20
Book 6 of The Cycle of Garland does not disappoint and thrusts the series into an elite class of epic fantasy. Dante and Blaze join other duos of the genre to become unforgettable.
I’ve been disappointed with many books the last couple of years, but not with this one. Superb writing, storytelling and narration.
