Historia
Twisted Briar is Peggy's fortieth novel; her forty-fifth book. Each book resonates with Peggy's authentic Appalachian mountain voice and her gift to engross the reader in the story. From Chapter 2 : He was looking for another woman and boy. The young woman stopped and looked at the crowd as though she didn't know what direction to go in. She looked so lost and scared he felt sorry for her. Not only that, she was just a girl. She couldn't be a whole lot older than the frail little boy whose hand she had a tight grip on. One thing was for sure, the ragged clothes they wore wouldn't keep them ...

I don’t like the AI reading and mispronouncing words and dull voice. Found it irritating.

Historia
United States of True Crime is an anthology series with books devoted to the most disturbing cases in each of the 50 states. This audiobook focuses on 10 of the most chilling crimes in Alaska history. True crime junkies may recognize some of the highly publicized cases, but I’ve made sure to include lesser-known, equally unsettling crimes. Not all of the cases included in this audiobook are the most violent in state history. While serial murderers are covered, I’ve also included some cases that are unsettling because of the gnawing sense of injustice they leave.

I loved this book. But some of the names of cities and rivers were mispronounced. Alaska is where I was raised I love stories about Alaska but HATE the reality shows they make Alaskans look stupid! Good book

wonderful story

this was my favorite book when I was a kid. The story is still wonderful but the reader was not good at all. I swear I could hear her take gulps of water when she did the long pauses. other than the pauses it was a great book.

Historia
Charity may have mad math skills and a near-perfect memory, but with a mouth that can’t speak and a body that jumps, rocks, and howls unpredictably, most people incorrectly assume she cannot learn. Charity’s brain works differently from most people’s because of her autism, but she’s still funny, determined, and kind. So why do people treat her like a disease or ignore her like she’s invisible?

wonderful storyline horrible reader
Revisado: 11-18-21
The story was amazing however the reader was robotic. If you can get passed the robotic tone of the reader the storyline is remarkable.
