Easy on the coffee
Revisado: 02-18-24
This was an excellent addition to the series. The characters, storyline and action were superb as always. A satisfying conclusion with a bit of a cliffhanger thrown in. In the early part of the book the narrator started his unfortunate tendency of adding way too much emotion to situations where it’s not appropriate. He sometimes gets in the way of the story instead of enhancing it.

Dull autobiography.
Revisado: 04-23-23
I liked his first books but this is a very boring autobiography and full of nonsense. Asking for a refund.

Poor narration.
Revisado: 02-22-23
I have been a fan of Orphan X from the start but am growing weary of the over acting in what seems like every sentence of the book. It’s hard to objectively rate the story when the narration is so over the top but this is not a favorite.

This will be the challenge of thief extraordinaire Riley Wolfe’s life. Held prisoner by a top-dog international arms dealer, and a top-notch art collector, Riley has to steal an artwork. Small problem - it’s a fresco, “The Liberation of St. Peter”. Slightly larger problem - it’s in the Vatican.

Too much nonsense.
Revisado: 02-18-21
This is a good story ruined by way too many words that add nothing to it. Some humor is good in adventure but the author carries it to the ridiculous. I’m fine with colorful language but too much of it sounds like kids who just discovered the f word. An exciting idea executed poorly by the author. Good narration though.

Historia
As a boy, Evan Smoak was pulled out of a foster home and trained in an off-the-books operation known as the Orphan Program. He was a government assassin, perhaps the best, known to a few insiders as Orphan X. He eventually broke with the Program and adopted a new name - The Nowhere Man - and a new mission, helping the most desperate in their times of trouble.

Hand the narrator some decaf.
Revisado: 02-09-21
I have been an orphan x fan from the start. This story however, was dominated by the unusual excessive drama in the narration. Brick has been one of my favorite narrators until now but he’s falling fast. I prefer stories with a beginning, middle and end. This one only has the first two but this author’s good is better than most other author’s best.

Eh.
Revisado: 09-22-20
I am a big orphan x, and Scott Brick fan but this was disappointing. There wasn’t enough story and Brick emphasized practically every line which became annoying. The only story in the series I didn’t enjoy.
