Historia
In upstate New York, in the woods around Woodstock, Dutchman's Creek flows out of the Ashokan Reservoir. Steep-banked, fast-moving, it offers the promise of fine fishing, and of something more, a possibility too fantastic to be true. When Abe and Dan, two widowers who have found solace in each other's company and a shared passion for fishing, hear rumors of the Creek, and what might be found there, the remedy to both their losses, they dismiss it as just another fish story.

This is the true crime best seller that was the basis for Martin Scorsese’s film masterpiece GoodFellas, which brought to life the violence, the excess, the families, the wives and girlfriends, the drugs, the payoffs, the paybacks, the jail time, and the Feds...with Henry Hill’s crackling narration drawn straight out of Wiseguy and overseeing all the unforgettable action.

Imagine being chased by a Bigfoot, stalked by a Skinwalker, or sucked into another dimension that’s a disturbingly dark mirror of our own. What would you do when the very creature that’s stalking you is like nothing you’ve ever encountered and the sight of it freezes you to the bone? How dangerous is it being a Park Ranger? In peaceful parks where sunshine reigns, not very. However, there are places where unknown things roam loose, and hunters become prey. These stories come from such places. Once you step inside this dark world there’s no going back. These eleven stories from ...

I repeated that the story seemed good and I like them However , I could not deal with the narrator Else for fun.I know they probably save a lot of money Somewhere but I can't stand no emotion and just plain talking from this thing. 5 days, these stories would be immensely better with a real voice. Historia
America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse—the stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce, and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city. As hordes of refugees and looters pour out of the cities, a small group of friends living in the Midwest desperately tries to make their way to a safe-haven ranch in Northern Idaho.

“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

so I'm not what sk would call a Constant reader . I do like a lot of his books , especially his older stuff . the first book I ever did from him was IT and to this day it's still my favorite . I came to works as a child with the movies and again as a adult with his actual books and now mostly by far audible. as time has gone on it seemed like his work as become idk different is the best word I could use to describe it but it's still in general the same , but it seemed to loose some of that gritty feel that pull that he had . I'm happy to say that this collection has that same feel , that previously missed grittyness ......that darker feel if you like . that little something that that always made his stories stand out to me . that's not to say that I loved every storie in this collection I thought fin was not great . but rattlesnakes and the bad dream and the answer man were all great, and the 5th step was a knock out. that same grab you and hold you feel that his old works have in spades and alot of his new stuff is missing .

Historia
First came the man: a young wanderer in a fatigue coat and long hair. Then came the legend, as John Rambo sprang from the pages of FIRST BLOOD to take his place in the American cultural landscape. This remarkable novel pits a young Vietnam veteran against a small-town cop who doesn't know whom he's dealing with - or how far Rambo will take him into a life-and-death struggle through the woods, hills, and caves of rural Kentucky.

Historia
"You will be a son, my daughter." With these stunning words Ukmina learned that she was to spend her childhood as a boy. In Afghanistan there is a widespread practice of girls dressing as boys to play the role of a son. These children are called bacha posh: literally "girls dressed as boys." This practice offers families the freedom to allow their child to shop and work - and in some cases, it saves them from the disgrace of not having a male heir. But in adolescence, religion restores the natural law.

I did enjoy this book the story is very good although some what hard to follow unless your familiar with Afghanistan topography ( I am . I served there in 2008 ) and remembered people talking about this woman . not super thrilled about her rendition of how she feels about American soldiers.mostly because I was one in Afghanistan. but I won't let allow my self to be so self centered and high on the horse to believe they all loved us intact I know by the time I got there most of them hated us . besides that a good story about a woman who did the best she could in a horrible situation and a role model for her community.

Awe and exhilaration—along with heartbreak and mordant wit—abound in Lolita, which tells the story of the aging Humbert Humbert's obsession for the nymphet Dolores Haze. Lolita is also the story of a hypercivilized European colliding with the cheerful barbarism of postwar America.

to start out this story is at times difficult to get through not becouse its bad becouse its uncomfortable. that' being said it's extremely well written and good book in the sense that the best story's make you feel something. all in all this is a very well written story that's not to grafic about a very well educated and very mentally ill pedophile and a very vulnerable and confused Child. however uncomfortable the story maybe it was well done and worth the read.
