Started Slow, but Got Better

This book started very slow for me and I almost returned it. I'm glad I didn't! I didn't initially like all of the religious references, but later started to see things differently and actually made me address those things missing in my current state. Anyway, a very good book and storyline!

The only possible thing that could make Morgan's world even more difficult happened. The Japanese fleet off the coast of California was wiped out. An even that Morgan and friends and family only knew about because of the radio broadcasts from the Radio Free Redoubt. So far removed from them it barely warranted notice. That is until the Chinese retaliated by launching a nuclear counter-strike against Mac Dill Air Force base. This, did warrant their attention and had the potential to profoundly impact their lives.

Not what I am used to from this series - Very slow

Not up to par with other books in the story

What would have made Conflicted Home better?
I'm just getting into the story, cut it seems slow. I normally listen to books while commuting to work and this book is actually making me fall asleep. I'm having to turn on the radio to keep from being board. I loved all the other books, but I'm not feeling this one.

Not what I've come to expect

What would have made DEAD better?
To make this story better, I would've concentrated on the story at hand...too much going back to the beginning of the event caused me to tire and in some cases fall asleep.
Would you ever listen to anything by TW Brown again?
I will continue to listen to the series; however, if the next book starts out about with Kevin and the days leading up to the event, I may have to give it up.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narrator was outstanding.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The redeeming qualities of the book was the end when TW Brown again had me waiting in anticipation on what will happen next...
