I loved this story! It was to sweet and wholesome. It was a good book to help me reset my head back into a positive space. I really liked how the main character’s culture was of importance and even a bit educational. For me anyways.

Mum’s the word!
Revisado: 06-01-24
A couple things stood out for me. Most of all, I loved the representation of the different moods of depression, postpartum, and empty nesters! We also get to learn more about the witch owl and her own struggles with her children.
The only complaint I have is how they pronounced Fyodor’s name. Or rather, how many pronunciations of their name was used in this audio.

AI Narrator ruins story
Revisado: 01-25-24
This audible was narrated by Virtual Voice. In other words, AI. I purchased this audible without paying attention to the narrator and when I realized that AI narrates this book, I begrudgingly thought to give it a chance.
The story itself could have been 4 stars, but I was too distracted by the monotoned voice with incorrect inflection to portray the mood or meaning of the sentences. At one point the Virtual Voice actually said “He apostrophe S” instead of He’s… That part actually made me laugh at the ridiculousness.
I get that Virtual Voice is supposed to be the new innovative way to listen to books. But in reality it is just a cheaper way to make more Audiobooks and the quality of it shows. There is no comparison to the quality of an actual person narrating books.
I will not be listening to anymore Virtual Voice narrations as it ruined my experience for this new to me Author.

The pain is overwhelming. My life means nothing anymore. Black. Lonely. A void. I have an expiration date and the final hour is here. Until a boy bounces into my dark world. Too short. Too young looking. Too smiley. Too much hair. I want to look away because he’s too much. Too much everything. Bright and bustling with energy. A train wreck of color.

Every gloomy cloud, is gifted a rainbow.
Revisado: 01-26-23
He Made Me Stay was beautifully written. I was crying from beginning to end with no breaks. The characters were written very well, taking you into the mind of a character planning to take their own life.
This is the second book I’ve read about one of the main characters as diabetic and this was also portrayed very well. K Webster either really did their research for these two characters or has personal life experience it was that scary good.
While this book does circle about suicide, it does have a HAE.

“I’m not a cat!”
Revisado: 03-22-22
In case you weren’t aware…this is a paranormal slow burn RH of which she builds her harem slowly throughout the trilogy. At least that is what my impression is so far.
The story starts with our girl Eve, who lives in a compound inhabited by an Amish-like cult. She is whisked away by a Lorelei (some sort of Siren?) named Merinda and is taken to an Academy for unique beings who are inhabited by 7 souls. Here is a safe haven where they learn about each soul and their world. The concept is that within your 21st year, one soul will dominate and devour the remaining souls.
However, Eve doesn’t have 7 souls. She has 8….
I could continue to go on about what the book is about but I won’t. Because I want you to read it! Eve is so literal due to her upbringing, she doesn’t understand slang or metaphors and it is hilarious 😆 I really enjoyed listening to this Audio and will be diving into the second book after posting my review.
As previously stated this is slow burn. As in nothing really happens till the end of the book. The guys however are doting and very attentive to Eve. Well….most of them. I’m looking at you asshole! (If you know, you know).
Anywho, I’m off to book two: Eight Souls!

Revisado: 03-10-22
Another 5 star book from Tiffany and Robert! His Darkest Craving is a M/F Beauty and the Beast retelling with a Tiffany Roberts flair. Like always, their ability to create such depth with their characters is beautiful.
There is some medium burn spice in this story (It will make since when you read it). And detailed mentions of domestic abuse. However, the abuse is NOT between our H and h.

Historia
I'm Charisma Carter, tech genius and nerd extraordinaire. I actually used to be Charisma Silverstorm, member of one of the six elite Arcane Families, until my family shunned me when I turned 18 because my magic wasn't strong enough. However, where I lack in magic I more than make up for with the tech I develop, if I do say so myself. Apparently I'm not the only one. From the minute I received my diploma as a magical engineer, it seems like my world has turned upside down. Now, members of all six families are competing to get me to work for them.

😳….. Oh damn. That cliffhanger!!!
Revisado: 03-07-22
Chaotic was an entertaining read. It’s about a very talented young woman who comes from a prestigious named Charisma. Unfortunately, her and her family are estranged due to her level of elemental magic being weaker than what is expected from an Elite family. Her family kicked her out and she has since come into her own success.
Her family feels entitled to her skill set even though they kicked her out and I love how she keeps turning them down. She is a very strong character. More that I love about her, is her master in the martial arts, but at the same time she is suuuuuper clumsy. It’s the imperfections that make Charisma more relatable and likable.
So far, there are like 5 potential love interests. An ex, an online gaming friend, a old classmate, an Elite son who wants to hire her for her Engineering skills and another Elite son (different families) who is working with her at the magic CIA (not what it’s called but it’s what this is). The spice is slow burn, there are no committed relationships yet, but there are a couple intimate scenes to be cautious for those under 18.
I need to dive into the next book now!

3.5 Stars...What happened?
Revisado: 03-05-22
The story started strong. I enjoyed the inner monologue of Ariel when expressing her conflicted feelings. She was very solid and real to me. I liked how she showed her survival instincts and had a bit of a backbone, without being all bitchy about it. It made her very relatable.
Then, towards the end of the book though, when the "magic" was starting to be mentioned, it was a bit of whiplash with the main character. What upset her one moment, she forgave fully in the next sentence.
When she was understandably upset about the secrets being kept from her, she took a back seat while the men avoided answering her and rough housing around. Then when she did speak up, it was very flighty wishy washy. Like, she was just upset about this and now she's acting like it's all okay and issue wasn't even resolved. It made me feel like I was missing a chunk of the story.
How she was getting close to Tyson and then let the twins manhandle her after being so guarded a good majority of the book. Yes, I am aware that this is a RH. It just bothered me that it wasn't questioned. Even for someone I'm in a relationship with, if I am. trying to talk with them and they are messing around and try to wrestle me, I would get mad, not portray a spaciness that would put Luna Lovegood to shame. she just didn't seem like the same character.
It just didn't flow well for me and felt it needed more structuring?
The overall story draws me in. This reads like a YA as far as spice goes. this is VERY much a slow burn. I wanted to like this book, I really did. I genuinely enjoyed the first 2/3 of the book. It was the last third that Ariel confused me. It wasn't all bad, just not the same quality as the beginning was. I will read the next book and see how I feel about continuing the series.

I get my kicks watching the parallel worlds that I am thrown in and out of as I serve my masters. All their wishes are the same. Wealth. Power. Fame. These newest three masters are different, and it isn’t because they are half-vampire. They did not mean to rub my bottle and have no desire to collect their wishes. Instead, they want to give them to someone else. They drag me through their world, and for the first time, I am in one place long enough to feel human. A desire for a true life awakens in me, and I can taste my freedom in their touch.

Fun and entertaining
Revisado: 02-17-22
I won this Audible in a contest. This was a unique retelling of Aladdin...kinda? It was a high heat, medium spice (if that makes sense), RH romance. Focusing on the Genie who has traveled through alternative universes and her three half-vampire love interests. I wouldn't say that there is M/M content per say...but potential for M/M activities in future books should Gina decide to continue their story.
I like that one of the love interests is mute and used sign language. Writing a character like this can be difficult, but how Cain was portrayed was done very well. It took me a while to get used to the concept, with the Genie having knowledge about modern-day items and bringing them into a Sasanid-like era. But once I got used to the clashing of the different time periods, I found that I really enjoyed this book. There were a few times while listening to the book where I had to stop and thought, "Oh my God! I'm crying!" So I do feel it is fair to say I got emotionally invested in these characters.
The narrator has a great voice. She had a great tone and portrayed the attitudes of the characters nicely. My only feedback would be that while speaking for different characters, to try to differentiate the voices a little more.
All in all, this was a fun read and had a plot twist I didn't expect. I was pleasantly surprised.

This was an excellent continuation to the story of Max and his Alien mate/husband Rick. Both characters and their three children really show growth and it was fun to see the different personalities.
