Historia
Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

A good beginners guide
Revisado: 04-22-22
This is one of those books that’s a great beginner’s guide to mindful living. I would not say there is anything particularly revolutionary here unless this is your first time dealing with material of this kind. Jay is a synthesizer. He takes information from a wide variety of sources and his life experience, then he puts that material into some usable package for the masses. Jay has been accused of plagiarism. I’m not sure that what he does is plagiarism exactly, but he definitely borrows peoples ideas and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, it’s really handy to have a number of great ideas in one place easily accessible for the reader or listener.
I do particularly enjoy Jay’s Reading of his book. I do think he is a good storyteller in terms of how he discusses his time at the ashram. I would have liked to know more about his time at the ashram. I think it would have been interesting. I think I learned more from his stories about the ashram than I did about his discussion of the content itself, but that’s because I have read this kind of spiritual material before and have practiced most, if not all, the suggestions at various points in my life. Still though, some good reminders here.
Like I said, this is definitely a book that would be helpful to someone first getting involved in the mindfulness movement and for people who just want to improve their lives in general.

Clearinstructions
Revisado: 06-13-21
The instructions provided in this DIY manual are clear and concise. The only criticism I have is that the author didn't discuss auditory forms of bilateral stimulation that may be beneficial along with tactile forms, especially for people who are blind or who otherwise don't use their eyes in a typical fashion.

Informative and pleasant to listen to
Revisado: 01-26-20
This book is a fantastic listen for anyone who wants to know about pagan holidays, their history, and how modern pagans celebrate them. It’s not particularly complicated and gives very simple how to steps for performing holiday related rituals. Plus, the narrator of this book does a pretty good job of pronouncing some of the more difficult names of holidays and traditional players in mythology.

One of my favorites in the Harry Potter series
Revisado: 01-26-20
I have always found taking a look at the life and times of Lord Voldemort interesting.. I also find Professor Snape a compelling character as we learn about him through his old potions book. Of course, we don’t learn until the very end to whom the book belongs. This book is definitely a must read for people who like mysteries and intrigue.
