The power and invaluable nature of true friendship, family and dedication.
Revisado: 01-20-25
This is what a true novel should be like. I love it!!! The characters are portrayed so realistically that they transcends fantasy.
For me, it was more like sharing an episode of life’s journey with some very honorable and fantastic friends.
Action, pacing, suspense, and anticipation were all there from start to finish no time lag or filler.
Narrator Jim Frangione was perfect as always, no matter if depicting female, male, children or a minor characters, the voice portrayal remain distinctive and easily discernible.
I can hardly contain myself until the next adventurous journey. ❤️🔥

A ranch on the auction block. Two bidders. Only one can win. Liberty Baker’s dream to raise horses and settle in the small town of Crossroads all comes down to an auction bid. Within heartbeats, her dreams crash and burn as Mr. Bulging Pockets steps in and swipes the ranch out from under her. The fact he’s a hunky bachelor—with an icy blue stare so direct she feels it in places no woman ever should—only makes things worse when he proposes that she should become his ranch hand. Chapters are out of Sequence.
Revisado: 03-22-20
A Perfect Way to Heaven, was a very interesting and fast paced read.
Even though the chapters were out of sequence, they were initially juxtaposition to read somewhat like Flashbacks. However, Chapter 2, being placed at the end of the Audiobook, fully gave the error away.
The flow and unveiling of the story was hindered, by the jumbled Chapters. The Reader has to pause, to mentally surmise at what transpired, before the current Chapter.
This Audiobook along with Dander to the Duke, also by Barbara Cartland, both have their Chapters jumbled together. Maybe they were recorded and arranged around the same time, by someone who did not fully proofread the story.
Goodness knows how many others of these BC Audiobooks have the same problem.
It is a disservice to the Author and Readers to leave these errors in place.

Chapters are jumbled out of Order.
Revisado: 03-07-20
The premise of the story, is an interesting and unusual variation of the Barbara Cartland themes. But, owing to the juxtaposition of the chapters, at first I thought the main male character was having flashbacks. It was when the Audio book ended on Chapter 2, that I said, but Dame Barbara Cartland does not write cliffhangers.
We as Readers spend hard earned money on these books. For the interest and enjoyment of the Readers and the reputation/ legacy of the author, please fix this Audiobook.
Thanks in advance.

Very suspenseful and passionate, fast paced drama. Enjoyed the gradual revelation, as each clue fits in place. There was no down time, just full speed a head.
The narrators did a very good job, conveying all the emotions and maintaining consistency in matching the voice with each character.

Revisado: 08-11-18
Amazing whodunnit with overlapping stories. I was caught up in the action, suspense and adventure from start to finish.
It was also great to see how all the previous characters continue to grow and move on with the various challenges in their life and relationships.
Catherine Coulter has an amazingly creative mind.
Loved every minute of it! Never a dull moment, moving from one clue to another.
Having Phil Gigante as one of the narrators was pure super icing on the cake. The duo Sandra Burr and Phil Gigante did a superb job, of bring all the characters to life.
All the books can be read as standalone, no cliffhanger, but they are recurring characters throughout the series.

Historia
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Gave me goosebumps.
Revisado: 08-06-18
The story was all portrayed so realistically.
The events relating to the Mall shootings could have been selected from any of today’s News Headlines.
NR approach to the story was like an instructional guideline on possible steps to take in the event of such a devastating catastrophe. She also covers through the life experiences of each character, the various options to help the victims/survivors move on from that tragedy.
“Tragedy brings out more of who we are.”
There are so many interesting aspects to this fast paced and thrilling story. It could spawn numerous current and relevant debate topics, such as gun violence, The Stages of Grief, to the various Predators among us.
We are shown various points of views and the effects of such violence crimes on the Police, the victims, family members, other civilians, along with some of the insights into the workings of the twisted mind, of a serial killer.
Shelter in Place is such a deceptively simple title, but oh so profound and fitting for the story. Job well done NR.
*Shelter in place, for safety during the massacre.
*Shelter in place, until you feel emotionally and physically strong enough to start on the healing process.
*Psychopaths, shelter in place and do sneak attacks of vengeance.
*Law Enforcements, shelter in place to collect data and do due diligence, until the criminal is apprehended.
The narrator knocked the portrayal of the story through her characterizations, right out the ball park. January Lavoy, has never sounded better.
All the characters were brought fully to life from off the pages.
Her voice went through a wide range, cracking from the experiencing of the emotional trauma of the events, being hoarse from crying, to the important in between narration, that links the events together. A lot of narrators can loose their listeners in this phase. But January Lavoy nailed it!
I was captivated from start to finish.
I read this story from when it first came out, but so many stories to read and so little time. But listening to this story was time well spent.
Thanks for the escape.

Very captivating story, from start to finish. I love the way each chapter flows into the next, as it unveils the story line as it pertains, to each character. So realistic, I felt as if I was reading a memoir of a family’s full and exciting life.
KLL never disappoints no matter the backdrop of the story, this time baseball.
I hope one of these adventures will involve horse racing in a next novel, especially with the exciting year we have just had at the Kentucky Derby. It would be good to time travel around the time of Secretariat.
The narrator as always, was beyond compare. Languages, accents both speaking and singing, children’s voices all tackled effortlessly to bring the entire story to life.
I would recommend the novel to anyone who enjoys an excellent, emotionally stimulating story.

A strong, vibrant historical mystery, interwoven with real historical events.
Through this expertly told story, I trudged the streets of the 1800’s city of London, with the Bow Street characters, reveling in the sounds, sites and smells, while on the hunt to unravel the river mystery of bones and robberies by highway men.
Fast paced, fun and excitement.
The narrator did a splendid job to hold the listeners interest from start to finish.
I think this story would be enjoyed by lovers of mysteries, historical events and also Sherlockians.
