Historia
If there's one lesson Oren Klaff has learned over decades of pitching, presenting, and closing long-shot, high-stakes deals, it's that people are sick of being marketed and sold to. Most of all, they hate being told what to think. The more you push them, the more they resist. What people love, however, is coming up with a great idea on their own, even if it's the idea you were guiding them to have all along. Often, the only way to get someone to sign is to make them feel like they're smarter than you.

A brilliant and compelling listen
Revisado: 03-28-25
I listen to a lot of business and professional development books. This one is a must-listen for anyone who wants to improve their sales pitch. As original as it gets. Highly, highly recommended!

Historia
When, at age forty-six, Nancy Pelosi, mother of five, asked her youngest daughter if she should run for Congress, Alexandra Pelosi answered: “Mother, get a life!” And so Nancy did, and what a life it has been. In The Art of Power, Pelosi describes for the first time what it takes to make history—not only as the first woman to ascend to the most powerful legislative role in our nation, but to pass laws that would save lives and livelihoods, from the emergency rescue of the economy in 2008 to transforming health care.

Engaging narration from the Master of political strategy
Revisado: 08-13-24
I absolutely loved Nancy Pelosi’s recounting of all her political challenges and hard fought wins for the American people. Truly grateful for her determination in getting the affordable care act passed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is curious about the ‘behind the scenes’ of our legislative landscape.

Courage and Resilience
Revisado: 11-16-22
It's been a while since a book captivated me so much. I listened to it during my long walks and often would tear up in public listening to stories of unbelievable adversity and deep family bonds. This book opened my eyes to what happened to people in Vietnam when the communists took over and their challenging assimilation experience in a new and foreign land. It is hard to even imagine what her parents faced and endured. The courage and resilience that Lea and her family exhibited in the face of unimaginable pain and trauma are truly inspirational. Thank you for sharing your deeply personal story with us, Lea. A must-read book and hopefully one day this story makes it to the BIG screen.
