Endless whining and painfully slow

I really tried liking this

I tried to like this. There were some great parts of the book, but ultimately I gave up because of the repetitive storyline. I finally gave up with 10 hours remaining. It will pick up and you’ll really get into it- but it falls back to the same old thing. Not to mention it keeps going back the topic of chess. It was killing me. Move the story already- everyone knows she likes chess. We don’t need to be reminded about it for 1/2 the book. Like I said, it did have some catching story points- but it wears you down with boring content that drolls on and on and on….. AND ON.

Good start... but

This book started out very strong. I was just getting into it when things switched. The storyline changed direction, and I was completely lost for the remaining part of the book. I completely lost interest. It’s like the author has a good idea- and then pieced some random stuff to finish the second part of the book. It wasn’t terrific.

How could the performance have been better?
This book was the worst Vince Flynn book out of the serires. I have loved ever other one of his books. This one was not like the others.
