Amazing story. Unexpected HEA.

This is a story with a little suspense, lots of emotions, cute children and the most awesome HEA ever!! Maggie lost her husband in an explosion while serving in the army. Five years later, she has returned to her home town to spread his ashes with her extended family. Then, she sees her husband in the crowd at a summer carnival. Josh, her brother-in-law, helps her investigate and find this man who looks EXACTLY like her dead husband. The journey leads to a very unexpected answer with healing for everyone involved. You will not be disappointed. Excellent voice characterization by Ms Churchill.

Decent story. Unfortunate narrator.

I really enjoy Denise Hunter’s audio books. This book had potential to be a short and sweet romance, marriage of convenience story. However, after the wedding and Brady and Hope achieve their goal, there is a sudden melodramatic shift for Hope (2+ hours!!) which relates to a tragic lost love when she was a high school senior. This sudden shift just DOES NOT fit. This thread should have been woven throughout the story from the beginning; especially since the author uses it to dramatically affect the way Hope deals with her life after the tragedy and her marriage.

Narrator was difficult to stay with because as most have said, her reading was annoying. I found it immature sounding, and there were several incorrect inflections while narrating. I really wish authors would choose better when selecting narrators. Maybe this is publisher Thomas-Nelson’s fault this time, as they are corporate and control the publishing.

Powerful and beautiful but ruined by very graphic sex scenes

This is one of THE BEST stories I have listened to. I would give it 10 stars for the story itself. The graphic sex scenes are completely unnecessary. I will never understand why excellent authors stoop to the level of grunge just to claim they have a ‘spicy’ story. Spice can be felt with a well written kiss scene. However, I have learned where the vulgar parts are and am able to skip them entirely. Still one of my favorites on audible.

Yayy! Yayy! Yayy! Yayy! A new addition to the Rodeo Romance series!

NOTHING is better than a new Shanna Hatfield Rodeo Romance audio book. This is a great addition to the RR series and it certainly continues the series with the same rodeo fun, humor, life choices most of us deal with, and leaning on the Lord God. Shanna Hatfield writes the best romances and she is one of my top two authors whose audios I always buy. One of the top reasons is her narrator, Luke Andreen! His performances are clear as to who is speaking and he is able to deliver excellent emotional context when necessary. Mr. Andreen can read to me ANYTIME!! Thank you SO MUCH, Shanna and Luke! <3<3

I really enjoy Jennifer Peel’s stories and this one is top notch! Suspense, intrigue, and romance!! AWESOME!! I truly hope this is the first book in a new multi-book series. I will buy every audio!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Great story with romance and mystery

I really enjoyed this Debbie Macomber story since I love western settings and especially Montana. I listened twice, back to back. This story has a FABULOUS happily ever after!! I also like long audios.

What a great story. Narrator needs to either work on just reading the story or co-narrate with a male narrator. I usually prefer one male narrator. They are better at female voices than female narrators are at male voices. That said, it is a great story and I will keep in my library.

Awful AI narration

Shanna Hatfield is one of the very best clean romance writers. This seems to be a sweet story, and I found it charming. However, the often monotone narration by a robot is at the least distracting and often flirts with wanting to strangle said robot. I really hope this is not an up and coming trend in the narration of books. People need jobs. Robots do not need jobs. I do understand the extra expense of paying a professional narrator, but a well narrated story by a good voice actor will be worth the price in good reviews and purchase of the well narrated books by more customers.

Story: 5 stars
Performance : Zero stars (though I am forced to give at least 1 star)
Overall: 3 stars because of the robot narration

Don’t bother!

Six stories, and only the last one, Sariah Wilson’s Royal Valentine, is worth your time or money. All the others are full of vulgar swear words for the “cool today” vulgar effect as well as descriptive sex. One or two of the other five stories could have been great, but actually….. Y*U*C*K !!!

I already owned Sariah Wilson’s story and and really love it so I wanted the collection, stupidly believing I would get an enjoyable multi-story listen. Because of the vulgarity this collection was RETURNED less than 12 hours after wasting a credit!

Interesting concept

I have enjoyed other selections of this romance collection series and I was excited to discover the Wild West collection. However, the reader drones on and on, and has very little character differentiation in her voice thus making this series boring. Since it is difficult to return titles, I will archive this collection. However, I would BUY AGAIN this same collection if it were to ever be re-recorded by a better narrator.
