Historia
I was once an average college student with dreams of the Olympics. A better future had been within my grasp. I was weeks away from graduating from college, and I had just received my invitation to the National Team. Sure, I was still nursing a broken heart and coming to terms with the betrayal delivered to me at the hands of people I once trusted and loved dearly. However, things were finally looking up. Or so I thought. The news began to report disturbing stories about a new virus. This virus was turning people. The infected became violent and attacking anybody and everybody. My plans for ...

This world is so wonderful. These fairytales were fun and original, but filled with our favorite characters. I especially loved Todd's story, a Cinderella retelling.

No one talk to me
Revisado: 12-02-20
This is it. It’s finally the end. I was not at all prepared for this. By the end, my sister was sitting next to me all like "control your emotions."
I CAN’T AND I DON’T WANT TO TRY.
This is one of my all-time favorite series. I seriously sound like a broken record every time I talk about this series. The characters, their relationships with each other, the humor, the authors. I love everything about these books.
While I enjoyed Addicted to You a lot, it was Addicted for Now that made me ultimately fall in love with these characters and care about their well-being. I find parts of myself in every single character: like Lily’s love of pop culture and Rose’s drive and Ryke’s inability to not say the word “f***” every few minutes.
This is hands down one of the best NA series ever. It promotes a sense of self-worth, there’s no girl-hate ever, there’s never any unnecessary drama or miscommunication, and it’s always entertaining.
Some Kind of Perfect takes place in between the last chapter of Long Way Down and the epilogue which is ten years later. It is 100% character driven, and a sort of photo album, showing highlights and low-lights of everyone’s lives throughout the years. So this book is mostly for the avid fans of the series. But for anyone who loves these characters and care about the journey they’ve been through this book will be like a punch to the heart. THIS BOOK MANAGED TO SURPASS ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS I LOVED EVERY PAGE.
Rose, you are so strong and independent. Every time I’m having a bad day I try to channel my inner Rose to get through it. Connor, you’re probably the character I have the least in common with, but your arrogance and self-confidence never fail to make me laugh.
Lily, your love of all things pop culture and social awkwardness remind me so much of myself it’s scary. Lo, you definitely have had the biggest transformation of every character here, you have grown so much it’s been remarkable to read about. You are a completely different person from the one I first read about. And the fact that you are a Marvel elitist is one of my favorite things about you.
Ryke, when it comes to the people you love you would literally walk through hell for them, you are easily one of the most selfless people I’ve ever read about. Daisy, you are so beautiful inside and out. You’re wild and free, and you have one of the biggest hearts.
Willow, I think if you were real you’d be like my best friend. Garrison, your love for the internet and Supernatural almost rivals mine.
This was pretty much a mess of a review, but I just love this series so much I had to get all of my emotions out. The Addicted Series will always be one of my favorite series ever.
Also I can never thank Krista and Becca enough for creating such genuine characters and an unforgettable story. I cannot wait to read Damaged Like Us.

Magical
Revisado: 12-02-20
At this point I’m just trying to convince everyone to read this series. So here are some reasons you should read these books.
THE CHARACTERS
These characters are straight up charming. You will not find two similar characters here and they each bring something to the plot. This cast is so diverse. You’ve got a Black MC, an Irish-Chinese disabled MC, a gay MC, a Jewish MC, and so many more.
Each character is real and flawed and I love every single one of them. Evie is just plain entertaining. Memphis and Theta are literally the loves of my lives. Henry is adorable, Ling is lovable as hell, Isaiah must be protected at all costs, and Sam is definitely swoon-worthy. To me, all of the characters and their relationships to each other are the best part of this series.
THE PLOT
I’ll just get to the point. These books are scary. While I think book 1 is still the scariest (ghost serial killer anyone?) all of the books have such a mysterious and creepy atmosphere. This series is filled with ghosts, supernatural abilities, murder mysteries, conspiracies.
While book 1 is the scariest, Before the Devil Breaks You takes this series to the next level. This book perfectly sets up book 4 to bring the series to a spectacular end. This book was so intense for the characters and I’m terrified at what book 4 is going to bring us.
THE SETTING
This series is filled with authentic descriptions of New York City in the 1920s. Bray hits all the issues that were prevalent in society during the 20s: Prohibition, the KKK, religion, sexuality, World War I, and so much more.
The writing and atmosphere are perfect! All the research Bray did makes it impossible for you not to be transported into the 1920s, you can basically hear the jazz music. Bray makes everything in this series come alive, and it’s just magical.

Historia
Do you believe in love at first sight? Paul Auster doesn't. Paul doesn't believe in much at all. He's thirty, slightly overweight, and his best features are his acerbic wit and the color commentary he provides as life passes him by. His closest friends are a two-legged dog named Wheels and a quasibipolar drag queen named Helena Handbasket. He works a dead-end job in a soul-sucking cubicle, and if his grandmother's homophobic parrot insults him one more time, Paul is going to wring its stupid neck.

Made me giddy
Revisado: 12-02-20
This is a classic TJ Klune book. I loved it will all my heart, but it’s not for everyone. This is filled with situations that would never happen but to throw are characters together and make us laugh out loud. There are some spectacular one-liners and characters that will make your heart happy.
I like that neither of the characters were made out to be perfect. Paul is a little bit insecure, overweight, and amazingly witty. Vince is walking sex god, except he can be a little dense at times. He’s probably the sweetest character Klune has ever written which made me want to wrap him in a hug.
The romance was very sweet. Both these characters cared for each other so much. While there was some insta-lust at the beginning, the way their feelings develop was very natural. I loved the supporting characters as well. Vince’s family brought some angst and drama to the story. Paul’s friends and family are so supportive (except for the homophobic parrot). Sandy is Paul’s best friend who is also a drag queen. He was an absolute treasure.
This book made me laugh, which is so rare to find. I loved all of these characters so much. I really want to see how Sandy’s life turns out, so I’m definitely picking up the second book.

Epic
Revisado: 12-02-20
I did it. I finally read this. I have no idea why it took me so long to get to it considering how much I love heist stories. Maybe it was because I wasn’t a fan of the Grisha trilogy? But anyway, heist stories, I love everything about them, the fast pace, the high stakes, just everything. And I am happy to say that Six of Crows lived up to all of my expectations.
The plot kept me interested since the first page and kept me guessing the whole time. The world-building was extremely intricate and complex, with none of those awful info-dumps that most fantasy books have. The writing was gorgeous, seriously so many quotes. With five different POVs, each one with a unique voice, you never wonder or forget which POV you’re reading. And every once in a while there were these flashback scenes that really rounded out certain characters.
Honestly though, the best thing about Six of Crows are the characters. Oh my god, these characters were amazing, every single one of them.
First, we have Kaz. Be still my beating heart, Kaz. He is the ruthless, intimidating, and mysterious ringleader to the Dregs. You never know what he is going to do next and he’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.
Next we have Inej, a.k.a the Wriath. She’s a badass in the most realistic way possible. She’s smart, independent, and goes after what she wants. And she’s a spy.
Then there’s Jesper, a skilled shooter with a gambling problem. He brought some much needed humor into the story and I need him with Wylan.
Wylan is probably the character we learned the least about, however he is so adorable and it was impossible not to feel for him, especially at the end.
We also have Nina. My beautiful Nina. A caring and loyal friend, she makes no apologies for who she is and what she wants. Her friendship with Inej was one of the highlights of the book.
Last but not least, we have Matthias. An incredibly complex character who’s looking for revenge that I grew to love by the end. His relationship with Nina gave me life.
The romances were awesome. So many new OTPs. They all felt natural and unrushed; they never overshadowed the plot. In fact I can’t wait to see where Bardugo takes them. Actually all of the relationships, romantic or otherwise, had a fantastic dynamic filled with witty and clever banter.
If I could describe Six of Crows in one word it would be epic.
