Liked going back and forth in time. Disliked not having section/chapter numbers because I kept wanting to go back to hear a section a second or even third time! Book is riveting.

I listened all the way to story but sometimes it was in spite of the reader. I love her tutu and enthusiasm but every so often there was a shrillness to her voice. Pitch too high?

Historia
Attorney Garrett Goodlove never thought he'd prosecute a medical malpractice case. Doctors swear an oath to help people, and those cases are usually honest mistakes blown up by ambulance chasers. But when he learns of a woman bodybuilder who went into the ER with a case of heartburn and came out in a wheelchair, he starts paying attention. It appears the doctor who saw her frequently orders open-heart surgery for patients who don't need it, sometimes leading to disability or death.

So so
Revisado: 05-18-23
I liked the story concept but it was. Not carried through well with character development and resolution at the end. Some of the dialogues were dorky. I was so frustrated with the narrator saying quidado (kee da do) instead of cuidado (see you dah do) as it should have been with a softness to the “d” sounds. Sheesh.

Historia
Louis L'Amour was the most decorated author in the history of American letters and a recipient of the Medal of Freedom. Now collected here in a single book are several of Louis L'Amour's finest Western stories the way Mr. L'Amour wrote them. At the time Louis L'Amour was writing, it was common practice for editors to rewrite the manuscript to fit certain publishing criteria. The text of The Strong Land has been restored, and the stories within it appear as Mr. L'Amour intended.

This is my 3rd time listening to it! Awesome. Only critique is to have a pause space more between chapters. The #of chapter sometimes comes too quickly and distracts me.
