Historia
In The Madness of Crowds Douglas Murray investigates the dangers of ‘woke’ culture and the rise of identity politics. In lively, razor-sharp prose he examines the most controversial issues of our moment: sexuality, gender, technology and race, with interludes on the Marxist foundations of ‘wokeness’, the impact of tech and how, in an increasingly online culture, we must relearn the ability to forgive.

Historia
Good, modern, civilized Western men today are expected to think like "citizens of the world" - obligated to everyone and no one. Natural, meaningful tribal connections have been substituted with synthetic, disposable consumer identities. Without a sense of who they are and what group they have a place in, modern men are becoming increasingly detached, disoriented, vulnerable, and ever more easily manipulated.

Good book, terrible narration.
Revisado: 07-24-21
Very good book. The main idea is to form a close group around you, so that your actions have measurable and identifiable impact. That means accountability, a mark of gangs, or barbarians, according to the books analogy.
All that being said, the narration is awful. Jack and whoever reads the titles sound like took kids trying to make their voice deeper and tougher. Pathetic to say the least and tremendously irritating. Just read the damn thing with normal voice or find someone with a deeper one.

Evangelism
Revisado: 07-04-21
At the start, the author does explain a few aspects of what he calls a "Braveheart Life", but very soon turn into a constant babble about christianity, jesus, church and hymns, god and the whole spiel. It's a book about religion and living according do Jesus' teaching, which has nothing to do with the movie nor with the life of a warrior. Disappointing, superficial and cliché.

Great program, AWFUL book
- De Jessica en 05-31-13
Worth it, but with a few many grains of salt.
Revisado: 06-11-20
Nothing you could not find in other books, but valuable nontheless. Excessive website sales pitch.
