Historia
Someone is stalking Audrey Young. And she has no idea why. Complicating matters is her landlord and new neighbor, Josiah Haven. She doesn’t usually go for the big, surly lumberjack type. But there’s something about that broody man. He intimidates her a little, but she kind of likes it. She could totally handle the mess that is her life, except the strange feeling of being watched is just the beginning. Next thing Audrey knows, she’s a target, and she doesn’t know who’s behind it or why. For Josiah Haven, none of that makes her his problem.

It’s been a hot minute since I picked up a Claire Kinsley book and now I’m wondering why the hell not. I love a good suspense romance and this was everything I needed. Josiah was grumpy and brooding while Audrey was all sunshine and delightful. Her dog was a goof.
It was the perfect mix of romance, suspense and sexiness while adding in some ridiculous funny moments. I was enthralled with the story and the mystery suspense and enjoyed from beginning to end.
Connor Crais and Ava Erickson were chef’s kiss. I loved the way they brought these characters to life and immersed me in the story. Add in Scott Rose as the stalker and we got an extra bonus and mystery.
I’m looking forward to diving into more in the series and getting back to reading Claire again.

Raven & Otto
Revisado: 02-12-25
Amy is the queen of tortured soul characters that deserve a happily ever after. Her men are heroes disguised as brutes or bad men but in reality, they are protectors, vigilantes and just misunderstood.
Otto uses jokes and a playboy image to hide the evil he swears is in his veins. Raven has had it rough and been through more than any woman should have. These two are magnets coming together in the darkest moments to soothe and protect the other. Their chemistry is beyond intimacy but a soul meeting bond woven together in a tight forever hold.
Amy writes stories that I love. They are mysterious, heart wrenching and redeemable stories. I love the suspense and action along with a beautiful love story weaved among the pages. Otto and Raven’s story is just that.
There’s no secret I love any book Connor Crais narrates. He has a voice that is smooth honey and puts you in a trance. His voice was perfect for the tortured Otto. He brought his character to life and I felt his torment. Desiree Ketchum is a new to me narrator and did a great job bringing Raven to life. I felt her fear, her joy and happiness. This was an amazing listen.
Ms. Jackson set us up with that epilogue for the next book. I am looking forward to more in Moonlight Ridge.

Extraordinary Follow Up
Revisado: 01-24-25
Move along if you haven’t read Fourth Wing or Iron Flame. This review is spoiler free.
I forgot how much I missed the humor of Ridoc, the stern dad voice of Tairn and the love between Xaden and Violet. I was not prepared for this book. With each new answer a new question arised. When I thought I had something figured out a new doubt was evident. I could feel my blood pressure rise and my anxiety kick in while reading and the more we got into the story the more my heart was stuck in my stomach and I wasn’t okay. I’ll need days to recover the hangover but I wouldn’t change a thing and would still pick this book up and start again.
In the beginning I won’t lie there was so much to take in and I was a little confused but I snapped out of the fog, got my footing back and was enveloped in this world full force. Rebecca has a way with words. Always has. The way her mind works is astounding and I love it. This is why she is a master of weaving an intricate storyline with such detail and emotion. I know she has a vision and I hope my heart will make it to the end but I will continue on this journey with her. I mean I’m already obsessed with these characters and this series.
Rebecca Soler once again did an amazing job. I felt the story in my soul. Teddy Hamilton, Justis Bolding and Jasmin Walker gave us other POVs and were fantastic. They brought just another piece to the story. Listening puts all those words Rebecca wrote into this energetic listening experience.
The ending had me wanting more. More. More. More. It’s only been a few days and I am dying for a glimpse into the next book.

Oraya & Raihn
Revisado: 01-20-25
Why have I waited so long to read this book. I’m in my fantasy era and I’m devouring so many amazing books and this book was no exception. It took me back to when I was obsessed with vampires and humans who loved them except much more adventure and spice.
I knew from the very first page that I was going to be sucked into this book. As each chapter revealed a new secret, a new adventure and a new obsession I couldn’t get enough. Oraya was a boss the way she never yielded and never backed down. Even though she may have looked like the weakest link she was far from it.
From the moment Oraya stabbed Raihn I knew these two would be so much fun. I loved the banter and the push and pull. Their relationship was definitely a enemies to lovers one
.
Amanda Leigh Cobb does fantasy so well and I love listening to her. She brought this story to life and made it that much enjoyable. She is able to change characters and keep the story going. Great narration.
At each turn a new mystery and in the end a betrayal I never saw coming. I look forward to diving into the next one.

Amazing Follow Up
Revisado: 01-10-25
Each book in the series gets better and better. This one is nothing as I expected. People you thought were allies are the enemy. People you thought were the enemy are now you ally. Nothing is as at seems and there are more twists, turns and surprises around each corner.
Amy McFadden did another amazing job narrating. She put loads of heart and emotion into all these characters.
And holy cliffhanger did I not see that one coming. Thank the gods I could dive right into book 3 because that one was a doozie. KA Linde is killing it with this series. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it.

Great Start
Revisado: 12-19-24
This was nothing like I thought it would be. The story was filled with mystery, suspense, dragons and magic. There was world building, betrayal, love, loss and new beginnings. It’s low on the romance so if that’s your thing this isn’t the book for you. I’m a romance lover through and through but this book kept me entertained and I didn’t even miss it.
The narration was good. It fit with all the characters and was entertaining to listen to. I look forward to diving into the next book and learning more about the mysteries and magic.

But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. Saeris & Kingfisher
Revisado: 12-06-24
I really enjoyed this book. Actually I am obsessed with this story more than I should be. This is very fast paced and a lot of information to take in. It was truly a phenomenal read and I’m glad I took a chance. There are quite a few bad reviews out there but really everyone is allowed their opinion and every book is not for everyone.
I’m a sucker for fated mates and enemies to lovers trope. Mix is the fantasy aspect and there you have my ultimate book. Saeris is strong willed, confident and a boss. She’s not had the best life but she’s making it work until her luck runs out. Kingfisher is broody and has had a lot thrown at him. He is just trying to do what is best for his people and that includes using Saeris’s skills.
Some say there is a slow burn and some say there’s not. To be there is a sort of semi-slow burn. Let’s be honest there is lots of sexual tension insta lust but they don’t jump each other right away. There is a build up of ememies, to friends to lovers and to me that is a slow burn.
This book was by far 1000 times better because of the exceptional narration. Stella Bloom is not a newbie to me and I love her voice. She was a perfect match for Saeris and put the right amount of emotion and heart into voicing her. Now Anthony Pamino is a new narrator to me and wowza I was blown away. His deep timbre was liquid gold and perfect for Kingfisher. I really enjoyed listening to this story. It was worth the credit used.
The last 20% of the book was action packed and I was here for it. There was a twist and a cliffhanger I was not expecting. Now looking forward too the continuation.

For Bryn Meara, a free trip to the exclusive and ultra-luxe Nightfall hotel and casino in Vegas should’ve been the perfect way to escape the debris of her crumbling career. But waking up from a martini-and-lust-fueled night to find herself married to Caiden Verran, the reclusive billionaire who owns the hotel and most of the city, isn’t the jackpot one would think. It seems her dark and sexy new husband is actual royalty—the fae king of the Night Court—and there’s an entire world beneath the veil of Vegas.

The blurb caught my attention. It was a little out of my comfort zone but the story kept me entertained. Maxwell took the accidentally married trope and made it her own. The narration was good and kept me listening to a new world and an intriguing story.

I made a deal with my brother a long time ago to never date his teammates. Technically, Rowan Landry, the hot as hell center for the Chicago Falcons, is no longer my brother’s teammate. Or his best friend. Their college days are long behind them, and they barely talk now. Also, I’m not dating him—we’re just sleeping together. There’s a difference.

Rowan and Kyleigh
Revisado: 10-16-24
Hockey romance is my go-to for sports romance. I love good story mixed with a little hockey action and romance. Piper Rayne did not disappoint with Mr. Heartbreaker. I was entertained with a story filled with a sweet slow romance, hockey fights and spicy spice.
From the first time Kyleigh and Rowan locked eyes I was hooked. It’s always the ones that think they can’t love that fall the hardest. Their relationship may have started as only one night but these two had a connection and I loved how they grew.
Sean Masters and Erin Mallon were perfect for these characters. Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, Connor Crais, Troy Duran and CJ Bloom were just an added icing on the cake for this narration. I will say it again, duet narration is the bomb and a lovely way to listen. With this cast the audio was just chef’s kiss fantastic and I loved listening.
This was a perfect start to a new series in the Nest and I am looking forward to falling for these hockey hunks. And if you listened or even read then you know who is next and I am all for the single dad story.

Revisado: 08-30-24
This was my first books from Kim Loraine and what better way to pop my cherry than with some cowboys. Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock in duet is chef’s kiss. They once again brought enjoyment to my ears. They both know how to bring the words off the page and into your ears.
This was a fun and enjoyable set of stories with loads of sexiness, family vibes and sweet romance. You’ll get to swoon over the hot cowboys and fall in love with the Ryker Ranch.
I look forward to reading more from Kim.
