Liked that in this story, the lessons (revenge) inflicted upon those that ended up being punished were all WELL DESERVED! In some of the author's other works, I sometimes felt that the lead characters were made to suffer far too much for the perceived "wrongs" that they had committed. But in this story, all the "bad actors" got just what they deserved - and then some!

There really is a thin line between love and hate

Some men find it more than a little hard to show their emotions - that goes double for military men whose very lives depend on being cool and calm under the most dangerous of circumstances.
After Sean and his team suffer a devastating loss, they slowly begin to break apart under the strain and pressure. And before they can come to grips with what has happened, a new team member is thrust upon them - someone who is carrying his own baggage and has no idea how (or why) he's supposed to fit in. Aidan doesn't know if he wants to be part of Team Maelstrom any more than the team knows if they want him. Push leads to shove and shove leads to...you'll just have to find out for yourselves!

Sometimes, the pieces just fit...

Once in a lifetime - if you're lucky - you find "The One". The one who makes you feel OK after a crappy day...who knows what you want/need even before you do...who sees something in you that even you don't see...whose voice and touch and mere presence makes you feel "complete". More than a friend or a lover - a soulmate. But what happens if your soulmate is your best friend - and you want to be so much more...but you don't think that they could ever want you, need you, love you...the way you want, need and love them

Dean and Sloane met in Basic and have been "thick as thieves" for 6 years now. So similar, but yet so different - they just "fit", like the last piece in the puzzle that was each other's lives. But, secrets have a way of tearing apart even that which fits together so well...

Loved this story - the use of 2 points of view really lets the reader "get into the heads" of the main characters...getting a glimpse of how they see things and a sense of how/what they feel. The need for understanding, acceptance, companionship and, yes, love is universal; you might just find yourself "walking in the shoes" of Dean or Sloane - or both - as they try to figure out who they are, what they are...and where do they go from here.

The first book of the series - this can be read/listened to as a standalone...but if you're anything like me, you can't wait to follow along to the next story in the lives of the men of Fort Dale!

Love - a gift to humanity...or a threat?

This standalone story starts off as just the tale of 2 men - trying to find love...to find happiness...to find themselves. But, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that there is much more at stake. Questions are raised as to the difference between right and wrong...good and evil...what is love - and who can we love?

Tobias has seen enough hate and heartache, torture and torment, disdain and dismissal for 10 men. With all that he had experienced, with all that he had endured - he would have been excused for thinking that there was nothing good for him left on this earth. But, even after all that, there was still a capacity to see and feel love. And when he found someone who seemingly had dropped from the sky, he found the chance for that ability to love to be rekindled...and to grow.

Ariel had existed for eons...knowing of the world, but not really being a part of it. He was an embodiment of love and compassion, sent to hear and heal the most tortured and tormented souls in the world. But, it wasn't until he was "cast out" - made to suffer the same trials and tribulations as his former charges - that he truly began to see and feel what it was to be human. To love and be loved, to hate and be hated...to know and yet to have so much to learn. And only when he was faced with living as a mortal, did he begin to understand the joys - and the sorrows - that humanity was destined for...and doomed to.

I deeply enjoyed this book on its many levels and highly recommend it. While the story serves well as a standalone, I feel almost compelled to seek out the rest of the books in this series to see and feel more of what drives all parties on their quests for love and redemption, justice and retribution, knowledge and understanding...

An ultimate "What If?" Collection

Whether they'd admit it or not, most men have fantasized (at least once, if only for a fleeting moment) about what it might be like to find themselves in the body of a woman. Well, here we find multiple examples - sexy and steamy, hot and horny - of what that transformation might be like. Had previously read the other complete collection of "Transformed Into a Woman" title - and I must say that this collection ups the ante by taking these newly transformed women on the literal rides of their lives! Even though each story has a similar premise as its base, each is a standalone piece with characters and situations unique to their particular story. Each story got me hotter and hornier than the next...and made me wish that one of them might provide a reading or incantation that might allow me to experience MY OWN transformation! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Just be careful where you listen...you just might utter an uncontrolled moan of pleasure and/or excitement of your own - and have to explain the source!

Loved it! Each story tells QUITE the erotic tale!

Fantastic listen! Despite the fact that each story "goes to a similar place", they each get there in exciting, erotic and original fashion. I was transfixed and transported by each adventure, feeling for the subjects - not to mention wanting to feel what they were feeling! I listened a lot while driving...if anyone looked into the car at stop lights or signs, they would have seen tremendous smiles and hints of arousal on my face. Let's just say that it's too bad that it's not safe to drive with one hand! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! If there is a sequel - or additional versions available - or coming, bring it on!

Love - Hard to find...Harder to keep...

There's no formula for love, no instruction manual - and what worked for some might not work for others. Sometimes, you find that what you thought was love was far from it - and what you thought couldn't be anything...turns out to be the biggest, most important something in your life.

Jake is the BMOC, the hot jock who could have any girl he wanted - and he wants only the best, the hottest. Kyle is the nerd, the computer geek - the loner with no friends and a tragic past of hurt and loss. On paper, they have nothing in common, would never see the other in a crowd. But sometimes, circumstances lead where you didn't think you'd ever go...to discover what you didn't think you'd ever want...and to fight for what you didn't think you'd ever need.

An old-fashioned "page turner" - I know because I stayed up to the "wee small hours" to finish it. Jake's desperate need to find a way to stay in school leads him to recognize other needs that he never thought he had. Kyle is pushing himself through life - but, in a way, he hasn't really lived for a while. Find out what happens when on the way to finding themselves, this seemingly mismatched pair finds each other.
