Historia
The greatest of all Civil War campaigns, Gettysburg was the turning point of the turning point in our nation’s history. Volumes have been written about this momentous three-day battle, but recent histories have tended to focus on the particulars rather than the big picture: on the generals or on single days of battle—even on single charges—or on the daily lives of the soldiers. In Gettysburg Sears tells the whole story in a single volume.

Great book and performance!
Revisado: 08-12-24
This is my third book on Gettysburg and one of the best yet. Very clearly written with the whole picture of what happened explained in sharp detail. I liked the profiling of all the major players and even the rank minor individual with quotes of what was said or reasonable conjecture of what might have been said.
Well researched! Aside from the the story, I loved the performance. I would like to hear more from this reader. Kept my interest throughout the entire book. Well worth 5 stars.

Boring
Revisado: 04-24-22
Pretty much boring and repetitive plot. Tired of hearing about "Skippy". So far fetched. Wish it had a decent plot. Last of the series I am reading.

Historia
Sometimes in medicine the only way to know what is truly going on in a patient is to operate, to look inside with one's own eyes. This audio is exploratory surgery on medicine itself, laying bare a science not in its idealized form, but as it actually is - complicated, perplexing, and profoundly human. Atul Gawande offers an unflinching view from the scalpel's edge, where science is ambiguous, information is limited, the stakes are high. In dramatic and revealing stories of patients and doctors, he explores how deadly mistakes occur and why good surgeons go bad.

Great book well read
Revisado: 02-09-22
This book went very fast, interesting from start to finish. I learned a lot about various medical conditions. The book is very accessible, you don't need a medical background. The narrator was easy to listen to. Overall a great book.

After more than a decade, when sisters Nikki, Sami, and Tori Knotek hear the word mom, it claws like an eagle’s talons, triggering memories that have been their secret since childhood. Until now. For years, behind the closed doors of their farmhouse in Raymond, Washington, their sadistic mother, Shelly, subjected her girls to unimaginable abuse, degradation, torture, and psychic terrors. Through it all, Nikki, Sami, and Tori developed a defiant bond that made them far less vulnerable than Shelly imagined.

Difficult to read
Revisado: 11-22-21
It is hard to say you loved a book that portrayed such a horrible person who tortured and murdered three vulnerable people. It is helpful to know such people exist so that you can keep a watchful eye to such evil people. They do exist. I had wished for a deeper exploration of the mind of such people. But that is a book for another reading. The book was well read and the story line was easy to follow.

Another Great Book from the King
Revisado: 03-15-21
All around enjoyable book. I liked that it was a short read. The narrator caught my attention right away. I like the bit of humor woven into the story line. Nive to read a book that doesn't have a lot of plot lines. Just straight forward start to end with a twist. Clever, Stephen.

Worst book ever and waste of time
Revisado: 04-17-18
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The pronunciation of the various names we so similar as to make it confusing who was who. This could be the author's fault, using similar sounding names or just how the book was read.
What was most disappointing about Brandon Sanderson’s story?
First of all I thoroughly enjoyed his previous book in this series and was very excited to download this latest book and continue the story. The problem with this book is that it wanders a lot, back and forth through time, jumps around from character to character, place to place. I have read many books where there is done and very easy to follow. Not this book in my opinion unless you study beforehand all the characters and geographical places. It's really a mess. I think the story telling was extremely poor. I was not really invested in any of the characters. The author takes license to make implausible things happen to suit his story telling. I consider this cheating. No plot spoils here.
Which character – as performed by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer – was your favorite?
None really. His characters are not really well developed unless you fall in love with shallow people.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
This is a long book and so disappointed to have wasted this much time on one book when there are many others I could have read. Disappointment and maybe some anger in that the author left many stories uncompleted in the end hoping you will buy more books to line his pockets.
Any additional comments?
There might be some die hard fans that like his books and will forgive his faults in this one. I will not buy another book from this author.

Amazing book and narration
Revisado: 09-21-17
Would you consider the audio edition of It to be better than the print version?
I have only heard the audio edition and did not read the print version
What other book might you compare It to and why?
Stephen King as usual does not disappoint
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No too long
Any additional comments?
I am only about 15-20% through the book, but I thought the narrator is so good that I thought to write the review now. In fact he is so good I want to look up other books that he narrated so I can enjoy more audio books by him. He reads with enthusiasm and a quick pace when the narrative calls for it. This is audio books at it's best. Of course having a Stephen King book to read make for an excellent opportunity for Steven Weber to display his skills.
