Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Great story
Revisado: 11-20-24
This is one of Stephen King's better books. The only problem is I didn't like a lot of the voices the reader chose for some of the characters.

Great story, but....
Revisado: 10-09-24
I like the story. The writer has some interesting ideas for this unique world. The main problem is the writer doesn't have a large vocabulary, and there is a lot of repetition of words. He desperately needs a thesaurus, but it you can over look that it does feel like a very rich story. Also the AI narrator is terrible, but that isn't the story's fault.

It's a good story but...
Revisado: 09-29-24
the main problem with this is the AI reading. I've read the first two books in this series, and I really enjoyed the story, but the AI reading it hard to get past. If you can though the story gets more interesting.

Historia
On December 31, 1981, high atop a snowy mountain peak in the rugged interior of British Columbia, Canada, 98 beautiful people eat, drink, laugh, and dance inside the opulent grand ballroom of the Sinclair Resort Hotel. The clock strikes 12, a cheer goes up, and the music swells; balloons drop and streamers swirl. Then blackness. Fifteen seconds later, the power returns and every living soul inside the ballroom has vanished. Forty years later, preternatural investigator Lively Deadmarsh and his psychic twin sister have been brought in to solve this decades-old mystery once and for all.

Not a fan of this
Revisado: 09-24-24
There are too many clichés, and far too many comedic lines that are just not funny.
