I waited 2 years for this book and hardly anything progressed. It was definitely a middle of a series book. Not even a single legit kiss between Will and James and I thought it was supposed to be a dark fantasy romance series. Very different than I was hoping for.

Klune did it again, idk why I keep reading these books… oh I do, they’re super good, but boy another depressing one. Made me cry a lotttt this time. Great narration and fantastic writing. Would definitely recommend.

I love fantasy/paranormal romance but this was nottttt it. Had to return after only maybe 1/4 of the way through. The male authors narration was the only good part. Also, I didn’t realize there would me FF parts and it’s just not for me. I’d rather have MM, MF, or MFM/MMF

Had promise, just didn't get there

I love TJ's writing style and this book was super interesting until closer to the end. It made you feel bad for the MC the whole time and then threw that away. I really didn't like the way it ended. I thought it could have been much better. I can't say really anything more without spoiling....
but the whole time you are feeling bad for all the main characters and it could have been written to have a good ending for all characters and didn't. I guess I'm just a fan of HEA books.

I LOVE THIS BOOK

This is one of my favoritessss. It takes a while to get used to the narrators accent, but I thought he did a great job. I like how different the voices were for the characters. This book will make you cry and then lift you back up. I love the relationship between these two. Super HOT. Sex scenes were great, a little freaky but not too much bdsm.
