GREAT STORY! but male narrator detracts by being overdone
Revisado: 09-05-24

Historia
Sixteen years ago, I lost Belle, the love of my life, in a tragic car accident. Devastated, I left Scotland to work in Uncle Ben's brokerage firm in Manhattan. Dedicating my life to the job, I rose to the top of the ladder, next in line to head the billion-dollar company. Belle, however, never left my heart. Every year––on our anniversary––I dine at the restaurant where we first met. And that's when I saw her again…today! She was three tables away—the spitting image of Belle from sixteen years ago. It couldn’t be a coincidence. It had to be fate or at least a sign. Now, ...

Nice story but Virtual Voice detracted from enjoyment
Revisado: 05-08-24
The story line was great, and the characters were nicely fleshed out, I enjoyed how main heroine found her voice and some spunk to break free, but there was entirely too much sex, and it was not necessary! Also the heroine was a little too naive in thinking that she could 'talk a psycho abuser' into turning himself in and it was entirely too long. 77 chapters??? comeon. last but not least the Virtual Voice was really really really bad. I kep listening hoping it would improve but for such an emotional story, it was unable to put that emotion and feeling into the narrative. ughhh! aweful!

Great Dragon YA Story
Revisado: 03-01-24
this was a good story with so much potential and when it began the young girlish voice fit the character's age and maturity level which was young, but by the 3rd chapter, with EVERY VOICE be that of 16 year old girl, sometimes going into even higher registers more fitting of a 10 year old, it became very hard to listen to. and slightly incestous when more adult feelings were being described. I only got to book 2, and had to let it go. I switched to reading the Kindle book so I could put my own tone the voice. as to character development, it was very slow and frustrating to have a human finally attain a relationship with a wise, powerful creature who has lived hundreds of years but can still not stand up for herself and those she loves, she doesn't grow at least not fast enough for me. she's still making the same mistakes she made in chapter 1 and we're at the end of book 2 or book 3!!! this series has GREAT potential, and I would love to see it in film, but just felt like a high school student's first efforts.

nice RH story line, definitely worth the read
Revisado: 08-10-21
But by the end of the book the narrator's voice still had that crisp, monotonous edge to it, with every phrase ending in an lilt upward tone. To be honest her narration was too distracting for me and I'll finish the series in kindle. It was just that off-putting,

Unexpectedly Delightful!
Revisado: 07-19-21
I chose this book for the awesome cover artwork, only to discover that the content was even more captivating. The character building was fantastic, so that I became invested in the impish, yet strong=willed Shiara and her over-protective brothers. The plot grabbed me and swept me along with her adventures, and I absolutely loved how her character grew as she experienced life. I hate books where the main character is making the same stupid mistakes at the end of the book as she did at the beginning. Just enough romance to offset the drama with lessons hard-learned along the way. It was truly one of the best books I've read in years! Can't wait for the next!

can't see the forest for the trees!
Revisado: 04-09-21
The premise and story are good and entertaining, but the monotone, crisp, valley-girl-on-crack intonation of the reading made it impossible for me to finish this short book. I'll switch to reading the ebook! Ms. Yeh, you have a nice tone, but you need additional experience before you'll ADD anything to an audible book.

Historia
This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book One of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Got about 1 hour in and had to let it go
Revisado: 02-08-21
I agree with a previous reviewer that while the premise/story was good, the writing was too focused on making jokes and the responses were not realistic in a life and death situation. When the wife of the main character told her husband and father of their 3 children that he was just some guy she met but she didn't want her son to go out to help save their other children, that was it for me. No motivation for them to fight as a family, no emotional investment for me to continue reading (especially no 10 books!!). thats just me, though. narrator was fine and easy to listen to.

ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE READ IN A LOONNNG TIME!
Revisado: 10-03-20
Not only is the love story right up there with Romeo and Juliet, but the back stories and side stories brought laughter and tears and made the main character's stories believable. Life happens, but love is always the most important thing, love of your mate, love of family and friends. I didn't want this story to end, it was JUST THAT GOOD! kudo's Ms. Shen
