Historia
We are anchored in a windswept bay in the Dominican Republic on our way to Puerto Rico. There is no turning back now. The gear is stowed, hatches battened and the sails reefed. We are about to venture into the dreaded Mona Passage between Hispaniola and Puerto Rico. Once we are in PR, we will have a leisurely sail along the beautiful south coast. But we have to survive the Mona Passage first. Will she be kind to us? It is my pleasure to have you come along for the third book in the Quest series. Included in our itinerary is Vieques, St. Croix, St. John and a little fling with Virgin Gorda. ...

Great story, annoying reading
Revisado: 04-03-25
The artificial reader is very distracting from an interesting story about what it is like to sail through the Caribbean.

Historia
Shari Franke’s childhood was a constant battle for survival. Her mother, Ruby Franke, enforced a severe moral code while maintaining a façade of a picture-perfect family for their wildly popular YouTube channel 8 Passengers, which documented the day-to-day life of raising six children for a staggering 2.5 million subscribers. But a darker truth lurked beneath the surface—Ruby’s wholesome online persona masked a more tyrannical parenting style than anyone could have imagined.

Good not great
Revisado: 04-03-25
This is a sad story of a dysfunctional famliy whose story is fictionalized on social media for money. While the story is interesting, the narrator is a young woman walking through her adolescent responses to what happened in her family, Her at times obsessive teenage angst can interfere with figuring out what actually happened. An interesting read up to a point.

Historia
Early morning, August 1975: a camp counselor discovers an empty bunk. Its occupant, Barbara Van Laar, has gone missing. Barbara isn’t just any thirteen-year-old: she’s the daughter of the family that owns the summer camp and employs most of the region’s residents. And this isn’t the first time a Van Laar child has disappeared. Barbara’s older brother similarly vanished fourteen years ago, never to be found.

Too disconnected
Revisado: 03-25-25
The basic story is very good. Each chapter is introduced by the date and the character the story will be told through, Too many different points of view with too many timelines to keep a reader’s interest,
