Historia
Louisa Bell never wanted to be a dance-hall singer, but dire circumstances force her hand. Major Daniel Adams has his hands full at Fort Reno. He can barely control his rowdy troops, much less his two adolescent daughters. If Daniel doesn't find someone respectable to guide his children, his mother-in-law insists she'll take them. When Louisa arrives with some reading materials, she's mistaken for the governess who never appeared.

Love the Fort Reno Series
Revisado: 03-14-25
I truly love this book, I have reread it several times over the last few years. It makes me laugh. I love the relationship between Louisa and the girls. And the narration makes the story come alive.

Enjoyed the approach to a matchmaker premise. And the virtual voice was better than most.

Repetitive and Confusing at Times
Revisado: 02-23-25
The story has a good plot but lacks consistency. It jumped around and repeated the same lines. I felt like the book was recorded out of order at times. It was difficult to follow. It seemed like the beginnings of an interesting novel but was not finished.

Historia
Can a mistaken identity lead to love? When Matthew Canton's mail-order bride is kidnapped from her wagon train, he doesn't hesitate to rescue her. But he didn't expect to have to bargain for her--and he certainly didn't expect her to be someone entirely different. Sophia Zane needed a quiet, quick way out of Kansas City with the money she inherited. Opting to join a wagon train headed west, she doesn't correct the wagon master when he assumes she's someone else. It's safer to leave under a different name, and her way is now already paid. When outlaws kidnap Sophia from the wagon train, she ...

Unique Mail Order Bride Story
Revisado: 06-17-24
I enjoyed the false identity mail order bride storyline of the book. The relationship between Sophia and Matt is quite good. But the AI voice takes away from the characters and the book. But it is better that other AI voices.

Interesting Characters But Limited Story
Revisado: 06-17-24
I enjoyed the story but felt the story was limited. The characters made this book memorable. Adrian's grief is never really handled nor that of the children's. Like most of the AI voices, it is flat. And you cannot tell when it shifts from one character to the other.
