Historia
In this unimposing book, the author, Herb "Roi" Richards PhD., releases information about the alternative health approaches to using dimethyl sulfoxide. According to millions of DMSO users, they have used this naturally occurring herbal solvent extracted from trees to overcome many health challenges. The author shares the recipes for these remedies, as well as his own experiences using this inexpensive natural substance on and in his body. Is RFK Jr narrating?
Revisado: 02-11-25
Great info but dang, the AI voice sounds at times like RFK Jr is doing the narrating, including the word DMSO that is said hundreds of times through the book. How did this get past the author and the editors?

Historia
In April 1999, reporter Tamara Leitner woke to an active crime scene outside her Arizona apartment. Her neighbor had been sexually assaulted by a man who would later be identified as Claude Dean Hull II, a serial rapist who escaped justice for decades. New identities. New states. New victims—more than one hundred suspected across the country and thousands more victimized in myriad ways. Tamara’s twenty-year compulsion to follow the investigation began.

Enunciation Errors
Revisado: 06-14-23
Good story, creepy, but my goodness, if you're going to be a narrator, please enunciate correctly. The repeated use of words like counnint, wounnint instead of couldn't, wouldn't drove me crazy. Ds aren't silent, just like the t in district attorney--it gets pronounced.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Left Leaning Dialog
Revisado: 10-16-20
I find it infuriating that this text often references negativity from the right and alt-right situations but ignore completely the alt-left and the far left's negative influence. Listener beware: there's a political bent woven through the pages of this otherwise exceptional text.

Historia
Brooke Nolan is a battered child who makes an anonymous phone call about the escalating brutality in her home. When social services jeopardize her safety, condemning her to keep her father's secret, it's a glass of spilled milk at the dinner table that forces her to speak about the cruelty she's been hiding. In her pursuit of safety and justice, Brooke battles a broken system that pushes to keep her father in the home.

If you’ve been a victim...
Revisado: 03-24-20
If you’ve been a victim of incest this is a must-read. After seeing the author’s TikTok, I immediately purchased her audio book. I almost didn’t want to start it because I was fearful of the emotions it would stir up (and it did) but I came through it feeling strengthened and thankful for her voice that spoke the words that I couldn’t and wish I would have. My father has since passed away and after finally finding the strength to tell my siblings, now I live with the deep hurt of them not believing me. (Why didn’t you tell mom? He didn’t touch me.) This book addresses all that and shines light in the deep, dark crevices of the twisted manipulations of the pedophile, the social weight of wearing the scarlet letter, and the archaic and coarse legal system a child must endure to tell her putrid story. Bravo to the author. She’s a voice for all the broken little girls and boys that hide their fear and emotions behind a mask in a desperate attempt to be normal.

Historia
If burying a child has a special poignancy, the tragedy at a Catholic elementary school in Chicago more than 50 years ago was an extraordinary moment of grief. One of the deadliest fires in American history, it took the lives of 92 children and three nuns at Our Lady of the Angels School, left many families physically and psychologically scarred for life, and destroyed a close-knit working-class neighborhood.

Beautifully written, exceptional narration.
Revisado: 10-29-19
Wow, this narrator is exceptional. He was the perfect choice to read this profoundly sad story. On multiple occasions I was audibly crying. Couldn’t put it down.
