Great Story! OK narrator

I love the story, but the computer voice narrator is not quite up to snuff. I miss Tony Katz, he made Turnbull feel like a sarcastic tough guy.
Don't get me wrong, you're doing great and if the computer voice is the only way we'll get more of the books I'll just deal with it. But it's unintentionally funny when the computer says '50 cal' rounds are 50 calories rather than 50 caliber

Mutant revolution

The narration was excellent, I enjoyed the story and it's thrilling action. Book 2 is when it really started getting exciting. Felt like a realistic reaction to a mutant uprising. Very entertaining!
Odd thing: they mentioned Beast was an Avenger but no other Superheroes are ever mentioned when Magneto takes over New York city. Feels like a Prequel to Fatal Attractions so they couldn't have met with Onslaught yet.

Good action, Great cast and fast paced

The voice cast was great. it had a quick pace with a decent story. Action scenes were very good and played to the character's strengths and weaknesses.
Canon is alittle strange, seems a mix of MCU and the comics, not bad but I'm giving readers a heads up.
Some odd random mild racial comments pop up, the Character isn't normally racist, the story doesn't warrant it and there is no pay off. Just seems like the author has a personal hang up or that was on a check list.
Pretty good, I'll probably try the rest of the series

Excellent until it subverted expectations into the ground

The first half of the book is excellent, seems like 8 hours flew by! Then about three quarters through the book started to flip the script on views of the characters and needed to retcon the classic first book heavily to fit the new story. Without spoiling the surprises I will say it was hinted at earlier in the book and some will enjoy this outcome.
The narrator is very good and keeps the tension up throughout. The book is well written and the battles were exciting, although the last hours dragged alittle.
The story lives and dies on the surprise. I didn't like it, some will love it. I have seen twists like this done elsewhere and it can be done well but this did not appeal to me.
I was expecting a sequel to Dracula but really it's a reimagining of Dracula posing as a sequel.

Thrilling and terrifying!

Blaine L. Pardoe out does himself, again! Every book in this series is better than the last. Patrons of Terror has it all: new characters, raids, espionage, desperate defenses, assassinations, daring escapes, political maneuvering, inhuman cruelties, and thrilling- terrifying heroics.
