Historia
The Story of a Soul conveys St. Therese of Lisieux's "Little Way" of spiritual childhood - her "elevator" to Heaven, as she called it. This method was approved by Pope Pius XI as a way for all to grow in holiness through unfailing confidence and childlike delight in God's merciful love. Again and again in this audiobook, St. Therese shows us how her "Little Way" of love and trust comes straight from Sacred Scripture.

Love
Revisado: 02-23-25
I thought the reader was overly sweet. Not sure how to express it, but didn’t care much for the style of oration.
This is the second time I have listened to St Therese’s autobiography. It’s definitely more impactful this time.

Blessed to have heard this emotional story
Revisado: 04-20-24
For me, the blend of characters was the outstanding element of this novel. It brought to the forefront how very individual we humans really are in the way we cope with the events life throws at us. I commend the author for the spectrum of emotion, morality and humanity she presented. As for the reader’s presentation… it was stellar and I thank you.

Historia
New York, 1960: For Benny Lament, music is his entire life. With his father’s deep ties to the mob, the Bronx piano man has learned that love and family can get you in trouble. So he keeps to himself, writing songs for other musicians, avoiding the spotlight…until the night his father brings him to see Esther Mine sing. Esther is a petite powerhouse with a gorgeous voice. And when Benny writes a hit song and performs it with her, their collaboration thrusts the duo onto the national stage…and stirs up old issues and new scrutiny that the mob--and Benny--would rather avoid.

What a wonderful treat you are in for!!! Bravo all the way!

Ruined by the narrator
Revisado: 09-23-21
I tried and tried to get through this book but finally decided I would just have to read it in print. I even tried to listen to it on different speeds… but, alas, that did nothing to improve the listening experience. One star is too much a gift to describe the the narration. If you really enjoy the writings of G K Chesterton… buy the book, not this audio!!
