Historia
The most common triggers for homicide are fear, rage, revenge, money, lust, and, more rarely, sheer madness. This isn’t an exact science, of course. Any given murder can have multiple triggers. Sex and revenge seem to be common partners in crime. This book offers my memories of homicide cases that I investigated or oversaw. In each case, I examine the trigger that led to death. I chose this theme for the book because even though the why of a murder case may not be critical in an investigation, it can sometimes lead us to the killer.

Historia
Homicidal is the story of the almost 25-year serial-murder crime spree of Lonnie Franklin Jr., who is alleged to have killed at least ten women in Los Angeles, if not more. Nicknamed by the media the Grim Sleeper, because there appeared to be a 13-year lull in the killings, Franklin met most of the women through random encounters that ended in murder. Significant blunders by the Los Angeles Police Department helped Franklin avoid arrest for years.

Amazing story of pushing beyond your limits!
Revisado: 03-05-20
I can’t thank you enough D. Goggins. I too went through similar things in my life. I quit, I lied, I was bullied and I tried to fit in growing up in the ghettos of L.A. Somewhere along the way I grew and became hard. I set goals for myself as I got older. Quitting was not even an option anymore. I started to see success. But somewhere along the way I started listening to the bullshit people were telling me. And I lost my way and put limitations on what I could do because the bullshit became my truth. Now because of you telling your story. At 46, I too realize that I can now push myself beyond what I ever thought possible. God’s speed brother. Thanks for help changing my life with your amazing story. I’m forever grateful.

Joe Kenda investigated 387 murder cases during his 23 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department and solved almost all of them. And he is ready to detail the cases that are too gruesome to air on television, cases that still haunt him, and the few cases where the killer got away. These cases are horrifyingly real, and the detail is so mesmerizing you won't be able to turn it off.

Louisiana, famous for its Mardi Gras, spicy cuisine, and Dixieland jazz, is also the scene of some of the most notorious crimes in the country. Best-selling authors Ron Franscell and Rebecca Morris write about a sultry Southern beauty who proved to be a deadly hitchhiker; the bloodiest day in New Orleans history captured on live TV; how life for a young woman changed just because she answered a knock at her front door; and a genteel wife and mother who left her husband to die in an alligator-infested bayou.
