Like all in the series, I enjoyed listening to a well produced audio with great narrators and a great plot.

Wow! A true Tragic Comedy

This author/comedian was very entertaining in her delivery of a highly interesting story about betrayal. I will look for more from her, I truly enjoyed this story.

And I really, really loved the sentiment she expressed at the end toward her shameless, manipulative, conniving perpetrator. In the beginning, I admired her empathy as she endeavored to understand the “mental illness” the criminal had been diagnosed with.” I would hope people find that sentiment inspirational like I did—the compassion she expressed was beautiful. But, later, when she said: “Because… F*$k That Guy”, it felt triumphant and I loved her even more!

Definitely worth a listen for entertainment, but it was also a bit educational because I
learned about a new “disorder” I had not heard of before.

Very boring & no good twists

I’ve read books where the author rotates viewpoints and you hear from many different characters, and it can work, but it did not work well for this book. There was No character development. I don’t know who these people are and I don’t care about any of them. The only “twist” was to throw in a description of male on male oral sex to explain one character’s history with another. And the end just got jammed full of events as a way to wrap it up, but the whole book was horribly boring. This was terrible, just awful.

Very disappointing

Believe the bad reviews. It’s true —the characters just aren’t well developed or interesting. It didn’t feel like there was a plot and it wasn’t a “whodunnit” like I expected at all. You don’t know whose dead until very late, but the storyline didn’t have motives set up anyway, so it was plain boring. It just plodded along then ended. I’m left feeling disappointed.

I love thrillers and this was just not good

I usually devour audiobooks in less than one week. This took me 2 months and I just didn’t care what happened. Was there a mystery? Maybe, I guess. This just lacked intrigue and I can’t imagine anyone giving it a genuine 5 star review. Nothing I can pinpoint, it just was lackluster and boring.

Good psychological thriller

This book explores a mother’s fears about her daughter and does a good job building psychological tension. There were also a couple secondary story lines that honestly did not add anything to the main storyline, so that is the one major drawback. Since the secondary storylines weren’t too long, I still enjoyed it.

Yes! Perfect murder mystery

This was short and sweet with no extraneous details. A true “who dunnit?” It was like listening to a game of clue. 4 people with 4 different motives, and a satisfying conclusion. Thank you!

Yes! Phenomenal Mystery/Thriller

This book was exactly what I search for when I select: “mystery/thriller.” There is an actual mystery to be solved, the pace of revealing clues was perfect, there were a few unforeseeable twists that were not forced or cheesy, and I loved every second!! It’s very hard to believe this was free, now I feel a debt is owed to the author! I would say worth every penny, but... yeah, now I need to look for more books written by this author to repay the debt. I can’t imagine what complaints anyone could possibly have. I was interested the whole time, it wasn’t too complex or convoluted, there weren’t any annoying attempts to send cultural messages—just a straight up WHODUNNIT!! Love, love, love!
