Historia
Dorothy Valentine is close to getting her PhD in wildlife biology when she’s attacked by a lion. On the bright side, she’s saved! On the not-so-bright side, it’s because they’re abducted by aliens. In her scramble to escape, Dory and the lion commandeer an escape pod and crash-land on an alien planet that has...dinosaurs? Dory and her new lion bestie, Toto, are saved in the nick of time by a mysterious and sexy alien, Sol. On their new adventure, they team up with the equally hot, equally dangerous Lok, who may or may not be a war criminal.

So Wonderfully Weird
Revisado: 02-22-25
The story was amazing. The characters were lovable and memorable, and I can't wait to read it again. I hope there is more in this series, because one book is just not enough.

Historia
For nearly 1,000 years, the firstborn son of every Cannamore king has drawn the sword, and the land and her people have indeed prospered. Princess Nyx Bel-Hannon is neither male nor firstborn, but it's her hand that draws the sword rather than her twin brother's. Her reward: imprisonment. But a deep darkness now spreads across the kingdom, and its borders are threatened by creatures capable of magic powerful enough to destroy mountains and split the land asunder. Without the true heir to wield the sword, Cannamore risks annihilation.

Engaging story with likable characters
Revisado: 12-06-24
I truly enjoyed this story. The characters, especially the main protags, were very intriguing from the beginning.
The story arch kept me enthralled throughout the entire book, never really knowing what would happen next. I mean, some of it was predictable, but only the very obvious parts like the "final battle" and the like.

Aside from this being AI voiced (like they said), it must also be written by a program. The weird use of words like Boobies and other questionable choices made that abundantly clear.
The storyline is predictably lacking, but that's to be expected in an erotica. I'm happy this was free, else I'd be getting my credit back.

Historia
All I wanted to do was live my life in peace. Maybe get a cat, expand my spice farm. Really, anything that doesn’t involve going on a quest where an orc might rip my face off. But they say the Goddess has favorites. If so, I’m clearly not one of them. After saving the demon Fallon in a wine-drunk stupor, all he wanted to do was kill an evil witch enslaving his people. I mean, I get it, don't get me wrong. But he's dragging me along for the ride, and I'm kind of peeved about it. On the bright side, he keeps burning off his shirt.

More of this, please!
Revisado: 03-07-23
I love stories like this. They don't come around too often, especially well-written ones with engaging, adorable, Black women main characters. I love the world Kimberly has built, and I'm obsessed with all the main (and side) characters.
For a nice, relaxing read, you can't do better. The story (and the narrator) kept me engaged the entire time. The author was very kind to add a disclaimer at the beginning, though I didn't find anything in the book to be triggering. Your mileage will vary, however, so the fact she went to the trouble of leaving the disclaimer was very kind.
Overall, I will be reading this book again in the near future. That is, after I've finished the others.

Silence has fallen. The Psy are free to feel emotion. Free to love. But Silence was never a prison for Ivan Mercant. The biggest threat to his future lies dormant in his brain—a psychic monster that wants only to feed. And now, the brutal leash he's kept on that monster is slipping. He prepared for the end of Ivan Mercant, but that was before he met Lei. As primal as she is human, this wild changeling brings color into his life. Then the dream shatters in a rain of blood. Lei is gone. Vanished without a trace—until he meets familiar eyes across a busy San Francisco street.

Enjoyable As Always
Revisado: 08-12-22
Aside from the fact that a simple conversation could've solved one of the major points of contention, this was a very enjoyable story. As ever, Angela hit it out of the park with the narration.
It was good to see some of the old characters without them being a major part of the story, but then again, that's par for the course for Nalini.
I'll be doing a reread in short order.

Love that says something, instead of just looking like it. Love you can always trust to feel like home. For both of them, it’s something that has always been just outside of their peripheral, something to be observed rather than experienced. A depth of feeling reserved for people who were “into” that, those with a different outlook, those more...deserving. Until their paths cross.

A Good Read
Revisado: 07-26-22
The story itself was good. I love Wesleigh Siobhan's work. My only complaint was with Emmanuel Ingram. He's a quality narrator, however the ad libs were very off-putting.
All the weird noises and chuckling kept pulling me out of the story. I get he was trying to make it more realistic, but it didn't work for me. If he could stop doing that, he'd be all aces.

This Translated Well
Revisado: 07-17-22
I watch his videos on YouTube, so when I heard there was an audiobook coming, I was all over it. His humor and wit translated well from videos, and I found myself laughing just as hard while listening as I do when watching.
I'll say it anyway though it goes without saying; this was educational and informative as always. His delivery is second to none and keeps the listener engaged. I hope there will be more books in the future.

Historia
My name is Charlotte Locke, and I’m an analyst for Section 47, a secret government agency that tracks terrorists, criminals, and other paramortal bad guys who want to unleash their abilities on an unsuspecting mortal world. I have a magical form of synesthesia that senses danger and uncovers lies - making me a stealthy operative. I’m trudging through another day when one of Section’s cleaners - assassins - takes an interest in me. I don’t need my synesthesia to realize that he is extremely dangerous.

Could’ve been great
Revisado: 01-05-21
As always, I love the characters Jennifer has created. Charlotte’s narrator is great. However, Desmond‘s narrator keeps pulling me out of the story. I hope they find another person to narrate his part next time, because it really detracts from the overall work. It’s like he’s fighting letting his own accent come out, which in turn makes his narration stilted. It would’ve been much better to let his English accent come through in place of the Aussie one instead of trying to speak with an American accent.

I'm leaving you this note because I know you're very busy, and I don't want to waste the town sheriff's time. Lord knows I've already wasted enough of it. Thank you for taking me home last night and...everything else. I made you a basket of wild blueberry muffins for your trouble. That seemed like the appropriate baked good for getting naked in your living room. I wasn't myself last night. I didn't mean to kiss you or fondle your backside or ask all those intimate questions. Thank you for pretending to enjoy it.

I tried...
Revisado: 12-27-18
This book was horrid. The story was unengaging, the characters were annoying and the narrators were awful. I couldn’t finish; it was that horrible to me. I tried to at least hold on for the sexy parts, but even those were lackluster. Of course, everyone’s mileage varies, but I do not recommend spending any money or wasting any credits on this book. In fact, I’ll be returning this as soon as I’m done with this review.
