Heart health in details.. such a precious gift this book ❤️
Revisado: 12-31-24
A lot of current practices and details on how we should really check our heart health using modern tools. I really like the approach described in this book on how to prevent or rectify our heart health, arteries combining modern technology, eventual is really needed supplements and medicin and surely lifestyle changes in terms of nutrition low sugar, low saturated fat, etc. ), sleep, exercises. I wish more people will read or listen to this book and take action now, even if of young age.

Historia
Glucose, or blood sugar, is a tiny molecule in our body that has a huge impact on our health. It enters our bloodstream through the starchy or sweet foods we eat. Ninety percent of us suffer from too much glucose in our system—and most of us don’t know it. The symptoms? Cravings, fatigue, infertility, hormonal issues, acne, wrinkles. Drawing on cutting-edge science and her own pioneering research, biochemist Jessie Inchauspé offers ten simple, surprising hacks to help you balance your glucose levels and reverse your symptoms—without going on a diet or giving up the foods you love.

Great approach
Revisado: 12-27-24
I was told that saturated fat is the main reason plaque build up in the arteries but listening to this book I would agree that sugar is surely also the vilain. I love the approach Jessie has on sugar, the order in which eating different food categories are eaten in sequences, the exercises or walk after a meal.. I also love the way she explain various sugar sources ( honey, mapple syruo, brown sugar, fruits, etc) It all make sense to me. Yet Jessie is still very young and I think that the saturated fat she recommend to prepare food, or any food rich in saturated fat should also be eaten in very moderate quantities in order to optimise health as we age. Regardless, great book, great learning and even I am now mostly Vegan since 2 years ( and I love it ) I will adopt most of Jessie’s recommendations. Chapeau for having written such a useful book 🙏

Very sad yet admirable short life
Revisado: 09-29-24
Very sad and very touchy story which remind me of the respect we need to give to modern medicin and all the hard working doctors, nurses in this noble profession. Also a remarkable way, knowing he will not be around that long, Paul planned the future and wellbeing of his wife after his death. This book remind us of the importance of time and making most of it while we can. We dont value time till the day we know we no longer have much of it left … My best wishes to his wife, daughter and family and my thanks for all he did for his patients..

Perfection and constant renewal of ideas
Revisado: 09-27-24
Very well written book about the way to operate a top notch restaurant. Impressive how young Will was when he started to run Eleven Madison Park and how creative, innovative he was in addition to the attention to every single details of creating amazing experiences for all patrons. Clearly his father’s career in restaurants industry created the foundation of Will’s passion for the industry. I worked for 5 stars luxury hotels all around the world for 49 years and I would recommend this book to anyone in the service industry ( not just hospitality ) wishing to learn more about constant innovation, perfection and how to run a Michelin star restaurant or a unique service business. Of course all those stars and top rankings come at a cost and we must remember, in the service industry, that the health and joy of our manpower must remain our top priority. We want to bring joy to our customers however we must do this by keeping our employees healthy, happy with good life balance. Restaurants and hotels stars come and go, yet people health and joy must remain over their lifetime.

Historia
Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Shaking things up
Revisado: 08-30-24
I really enjoyed this Audio book as it opened my mind to the fast way of creating wealth rather than the road i used ( between the slow way and some of the fast way ) . I really like the approach of moving from consummer of goods and services to creator of goods and services something that we often forget. I surely would recommend this book to any young and ambitious person. Thank you for having written this great book which shaked some of my beliefs.

Revisado: 08-14-24
Very informative book which allow me to know where i stand and what are the various roads to being suoer rich or jist wealthy. I really like the long view of this book and it is never too late ( for some of the roads ) to either maintain or increase wealth. Also very intertaining to listen, and i loved the part about the politicians…
