Historia
When a high-ranking officer gallops into the quiet Mistyvales, he brings a warning that shakes the countryfolk to their roots. But for Aedan, a scruffy young adventurer with veins full of fire and a head full of ideas, this officer is not what he seems. The events that follow propel Aedan on a journey that only the foolhardy or desperate would risk, leading him to the gates of the nation's royal academy - a whole world of secrets in itself. But this is only the beginning of his discoveries.

engaging
Revisado: 01-04-25
I find it difficult to find a decent book to read (listen to). One that has a protagonist that doesn't wine or cry in his own head and takes forever to get over his own perceived faults. This book has a strong main character and I found myself rooting for him. This novel pulled me in from the beginning and I'm looking forward to the next installment. I hope it doesn't take to long.

I tried several times to listen to this story but it was... boring and simplistic.

it is such a shame. This story had/has such potential. Character development is almost nonexistent. Where was the editor during all of this?
I think this would make a better animation 🤔 like anime.

what?
Revisado: 10-09-22
This is a true epic. If you make it to the end and liked it Or you are not sure I recommend I recommend the next book. True true he does tend to ramble It is also true this is dark search but also full ofull of joy happiness sadness yes sadness all of that all of the emotions will be rung out of you in this epic story. Though, I mean the whole series and not just one book. All of your favorite characters will come back I promise.. I read this series 1st and now started listening.. I am not into this narrator But a much better one comes in the 3rd book. One last Thing, this takes thought and emotion But most importantly a brain too really and thoroughly enjoy this epic series I used the word a lot I know but it truly is it's up there with Robert Jordan's in my opinion But completely different storytelling

Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil god Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgrath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe. That was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the man without a shadow had haunted him for years.

this book was brilliant and it answered a lot of my questions which I did not think would ever happen. obviously, Atlantis was one of my questions and while I new Atlantis was real. I did not know how important it really was. my questions about the pyramids we're not fully answered but who may have built them and how long ago was answered. the best answer I received was where are the flood came from and what was flooded. if there are any Christians reading this it would do you well to read the book and learn firsthand what you read in your Bibles about the flood. This brilliant I loved it

Historia
It's summertime for supervillains! Or maybe not, because for Penelope Akk, there is still one foe she has yet to defeat: her own reputation as Bad Penny. It's been a fun ride: fighting adult heroes, going to space, and inspiring the rest of her school to open up about their own powers. Sooner or later, that ride has to end, and with school out of the way Penny is hatching a mad scheme to end it on her own terms. Will that go smoothly? Of course not. Penny's left too many unsolved problems behind her already, like ghosts, crazy friends, and angry little girls from Jupiter.
