A very enjoyable book with decent world building and character exploration.

The ending is a proper ending, not a cliff hanger. It's quite satisfying without feeling like its tacked on. There is however definitely space for moo'r in the series, this doesn't feel like The End. I'll be looking for the next.

As to the stuff in the middle? Well I don't want to spoil it. I'm not going to tell you who dies and lives.

Performance: I give it an A. No pesky unremove repeats, edited flubs, or mispronounced words. The mic does pickup the narrators breathing, which is a little distracting.

Ok. I get the "nothing happens" complaint, but it's got way more plot than a slice of life book. Also if that's a subtle reference to the MC's flavor of time travel, well played.

It's a fun book that answers questions I never ask, like "What happens when Sailor Moon meets Grims Fairy Tales?"

I'll totally read the next book.

A fun book. I liked how for the stat sheet reading they sped up the playback. It made the book much better.

Helen Laser is The Best

Helen Laser does a phenomenal job conveying Vita's changing mental conditions with her well honed acting skills. The story is good but the voice acting makes it all so much better.

Puma ☑️

A fun read. The characters are likable and have depth. The world is interesting. The mechanics aren't obnoxious. And the author doesn't overdo the LitRPG.

Oh and the have a guard who does inspections named Puma.

Is the book as good as the previous? Yes.

Does the narration change impact the book? Not that I noticed, which IMHO is remarkable.

Jake is his anxious and neurotic self but now he has phenomenal cosmic powers. But he's in a world where it's just not that rare and surprise, he's on the wrong side of his peers

MC broken

This MC and other characters are pretty flat. More time should have been spent on fleshing them out instead of on their rage at their crappy predicament. If the second book weren't part of the Catalog I probably wouldn't read it. The only reason the story doesn't get a lower score is because of the ending. This is ragelit. You are intended to feel indignant on behalf of the characters. Maybe the second book will be better constructed.

The performance and sound design are decent.
