I do not enjoy AI narration. Sometimes they pronounce a word weirdly and with this being audiobooks you cant look at the text to see the correct word. You just have to assume what it meant. It’s annoying. Otherwise this was a great read. Thanks

Awesome

This book, series, is incredible. I loved everything about it. Story line, characters and introduction of characters. This author can give Stephen King a run for his money. He’s definitely up there with him now. Look forward to reading more from this author.

Multiple Bram Stoker Award and multiple Dragon Award finalist Michaelbrent Collings brings you a terror-filled trip to the one place where nightmares are the only reality... Welcome to the town of Rising. A place where everyone knows everyone else. A place where no one locks their doors. A place where everyone's worst fears...are about to come true. "The writing is superb. The characters are believable and sympathetic... the theme of a parent who’s lost a child figures strongly; it’s powerful stuff, and written from the perspective of experience that no one should ever have to suffer." ...

I have been a Stephen King book lover for forty years but, this book was disappointing from the beginning. Whether I’m a democrat or republican, I read his books to escape reality. This book is so NOT one of those books. Sooo disappointing! However, the main storyline was definitely weird & dark. Typical Stephen King

Historia
Recently engaged and deeply ensconced in her third year of surgical residency in Chicago, Emily Hartford gets a shock when she is called home to Freeport, Michigan, the small town she fled a decade ago after the death of her mother. Her estranged father, the local medical examiner, has had a massive heart attack. At the hospital, she finds her father in near total denial of the seriousness of his condition. He insists that the best thing Emily can do to help him is to take on the autopsy of a senator's teen daughter whose sudden, unexplained death has just rocked the sleepy town.

Disappointed
Revisado: 04-02-21
I was so into this story, the narrator was excellent. All of a sudden it ended without conclusion. Maybe the author had a deadline, I don’t know but I was definitely disappointed with the ending.
