Epic Love story w complex lovable Characters

MCs with no character

Super disappointed here folks. I truly enjoy Nyla K books and this is the first one that has let me way down. Ben had poor character and at every turn made decisions that disregarded and disrespected those that he loved. Jessica was too one dimensional. Ryan was probably the most well rounded but then I just felt like he just caved to Ben and the main connection was sexual. There was no reason to sneak around and hide things from people you love for as long as it did here. This is like an ode to cheaters and taught that it doesn't matter how you treat people. You can still have everything you want including the people you loved and hurt. No real reconning just repeated selfish and sneaky behavior that is excused over and over. I cringed the whole way thru and am so happy it's over. I was hoping for some kind of twist where someone sticks it to Ben. But no. He just gets to have his cake, eat it and then stuff it in his daughter's face. And she just forgives all and falls in line. This was really frustrating!!!

These characters!

I loved these characters so much. the narrators gave it such authentic life. I looked up to see if they had other narrations but mostly because I miss them from this book. so I ended up listening to this again. never thought a story about only fans accounts could touch me so much!!

Storyline boringly erratic

I really struggled here! AM wrote some really endearing characters but forgot to give them a storyline. it was all nostalgia and sex. no plot. no arc. story was told asynchronously but it was so hard to follow. the best parts of falling in love, missing each other had already happened and we just get small snippets through flashbacks.

then there was a huge mistake in the recording whereby the end of the story (ch 26) plays at the end of ch 24. so what little storyline there is was ruined because you hear the end before the small uncompelling quandary was even introduced.

I also struggled with the fact that she wrote a demi character who then engaged in completely traditional MM fashion. all angst about his identity and whether he could love/have attraction for his friend was resolved before the book began.

A bit frustrated by the storyline but overall good

So this was a love story between lovers of philosophy with questionable ethics who faced no consequences for their questionable choices. Characters were well written and I still wanted to root for them so kudos for pulling it off. Just wish the story line had not been so heavy and quandary of choice dragging on and on but then they both just escaped the framework so quickly and everyone supported them and they live happily ever after. then the epilogue dragged on unnecessarily with nothing really added to the plot or characters. narrators were both great as always

Great Characters, love the double bi awakening

Both characters were lovable although Pen was a bit annoying. Romance was well written and narration was spot on. The sex was hot!

Good value, not great storytelling

I wanted to like these. But the intimacy was very porny in how loosely the story held together. for instance in one book the character forgot the sex act from 2 nights before and expressed shock that the same thing was being done again. why??? Just seems sloppy. sex scenes strung together by ridiculous set ups and immature characters.

Read like a summary of a romance

Pace of the romance went in and out. crucial scenes felt skipped over or later summarized. main character was immature to the point of being annoying to me (not just to her friends) really struggled to finish this

No adversity, no real plot

So I really liked the characters but there was no real plot line. They had the pact against dating then they didn't. It did not feel like a full book. which it seemed they tried to make up for with all the samples of other books and short story.... :-/

Struggled with the unrealistic aspects of the relationship like their knowing connection and the 15 orgasms at a time sex sessions. just kind of made a characticature of relationships and intimacy.
