Historia
With the civilized universe conquered, it’s up to the uncivilized to fight back. Rico prefers working alone, but this time, he’s leading an army against his two greatest enemies, who both have one thing in common: Rico’s own DNA. Fighting a personal battle on a galactic scale, Rico enlists thieves, murderers, and malcontents (plus one space princess) to help him save the universe from tyranny. And considering Rico’s new associates, it’s not a question of whether he’ll be betrayed, but when, and by whom.

Historia
First published in 1952, Witness came on the heals of America's trial of the century, in which Whittaker Chambers accused Alger Hiss, a full-standing member of the political establishment, of spying for the Soviet Union. In this penetrating philosophical memoir, Chambers recounts the famous case as well as his own experiences as a Communist agent in the United States, his later renunciation of communism, and his conversion to Christianity.

Alger Hiss was a communist.
Revisado: 12-30-16
I am a daily listener to the Hugh Hewitt radio show. He often will ask his guests whether they believe that Alger Hiss was a communist. Everyone should listen to this book, which is filled with beautiful descriptions and wonderful prose. By the time you get to the end you will by no means doubt in your mind that Hiss was a communist and meant to do harm to freedom loving Americans.

According to Goldberg, if the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist, the greatest trick liberals ever pulled was convincing themselves they’re not ideological. Today “objective” journalists and academics and “moderate” politicians peddle some of the most radical arguments by hiding them in homespun aphorisms.

Fantastic
Revisado: 05-15-12
Would you listen to The Tyranny of Clichés again? Why?
Yes! Jonah is a great reader of his own work.
The content is amazing, and I feel that everything I was ever taught was just wrong and biased.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Tyranny of Clichés?
The explanation of Social Justice is brilliant.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
The cliche that "understanding breeds peace" is so wrong.
I notice in my life that the people I fight the most are the ones that I understand the best.
